The barbecue steak pizza is amazing! Sweet and tangy, it would be something you order as your regular! Minimalist decor but neat and clean with a somewhat old school feel.

If heaven was a place on earth, it would be Highlander Pizza! Authentic style pizza that is absolutely mouth watering. You can tell the food is made with love & care. By far the BEST mom & pop shop in Roanoke. If I could only eat one food for the rest of my life, it would be their Buffalo Chicken Rolls. Reading this? Go get it!! Don’t listen to bad reviews. Owner works hard and this place crafts pizza better than any other — believe me. I’ve tried every pizza spot in the Roanoke Valley and this guy’s comes out on top. I have introduced at least a dozen people to his pizza and they all become frequent customers. TRY PIZZA ROLLS if you’re branching out.
The order was handled wrong, and there was no salad dressing as requested.Waited longer than was advertised.

I had their super supreme pizza and cheese breadand it was delicious. I got take out had to drive 15 min home and it was hot and delicious. Staff was very helpful and polite and it was a busy Saturday night too Definitely recommend Highlander Pizza. Definitely going to be a repeat customer

When I order cheesecake from a restaurant they should at least pretend that it’s homemade and take it out of the wrapper. I really didn’t appreciate the mushrooms from a can either. One would have to guess that the rest of the food isn’t fresh either.You can tell when a restaurant values ingredients. It shows that they don’t.Won’t return.

Ordered the Hawaiian pizza for takeout for dinner. The slices were huge I could only eat 2, but my husband loved the pizza and ate the rest. The crust is pretty delicious and sturdy. No floppy or soggy crust here which was great to see. The toppings were decently covered. I think my husband plans to order a pepperoni so we'll see how that goes.

Got take out from here. Tried pretty much all the Roanoke area pizza places and Highlander and Grace's seem to be a step above the rest. Highlander's was a perfect take out pizza. Right combo of ingredients, toppings excellently spread, and not soggy and toppings dripping off (unlike some other places in town not named). I would say Highlander might be the best hand tossed but I haven't had their thin if they have one. Grace's is the place if you want thin but their hand tossed is also great.Will be ordering again!Anyway, definitely worth. Got a 16 inch large specialty for like 21 bucks. Only complaint was the pizza slices were cut super weird and inconsistent. One slice was a wee baby slice and one was a mammoth slice. Others were fine
