OTH Chophouse & Oyster Bar was hands down the perfect spot for a romantic dinner! The service was top-tier—truly couldn't have asked for better. My significant other and I ordered the filet mignon, and he also got the ribeye—without a doubt, the best steaks we've ever had. The atmosphere was beautiful, overlooking Roanoke, which made the whole experience even more special. We'll definitely be going back on our next trip!

The waitress was very nice and continued to check on us throughout the meal. Additionally I was able to order a drink that was not on the drink menu — as the bar had all of the ingredients for the drink. Great for a girls night out or uppity date night.

This is one of my favorite restaurants and so glad they finally opened one in Roanoke. They picked a great location on the top of one of the mountains with great views of the city and surrounding area. Food is great, our server (Matt get that free car) was great, and the restaurant is great. The 1 and only semi-negative is that they didn't make any bathroom upgrades from the previous restaurant and it's definitely not in line with the restaurant's maturer ambiance. However, it does not in any way take away from the rest of the positives that The Chop House delivers. I highly recommend to anyone sick of the extremely limited few restaurants in Roanoke worth dining at.

Our waiter never brought any of our food. He only checked on us twice and it was about the time we were done with appetizer and meal. It took him 30mins to bring my husband a tea after offering a tea. It was my birthday and for the amount of money spent the only thing that was "ok" was the service.

Whether you're a steak aficionado, a seafood lover, or someone who craves a memorable dining experience, OTH delivered with bold flavors, a scenic view, and outstanding service. Our waitress sold us on the catch of the day and brought the most delicious martinis! I was especially impressed that the general manager personally checked in on guests, making the experience feel truly welcoming and memorable. It's the kind of meal that will absolutely bring us back soon!

I’ve been here about a half dozen times. First time I got grouper. It was fair. Second time I got some other fish. It was fair. I figured I wouldn’t get fish here anymore so I tried hanger steak. It was really good. Went again and they didn’t have hanger steak so I got a NY strip. It was fair. Tonight I got the ribeye. It was the toughest steak I’d ever had in my life. I don’t mind paying for GOOD food but I get pissed when paying $45 for the toughest steak of my life. How is a ribeye tough??? I could hardly cut it. I took it to go. I don’t even think it’s a ribeye but probably a tough sirloin. It was thin. I know it wasn’t the 14oz as the menu said. No more than half that. I don’t send food back because of the stories of sending food back but after paying what I paid I was pissed at myself for not sending it back and just saying keep it. I’m done with this place now. I gave them more than enough opportunities. The main reason I went that many times was because of the atmosphere. But I’m done.

I had the best piece of fish I have ever had in my life and I am really old. And I will go back just for the calamari. Everyone enjoyed their meal.

My husband & I just went to the chop house for our anniversary. Our server Eric was amazing! His service was seemless & knowledgeable with an engaging sense of humor. The menu has many wonderful items but the husband & I chose to try the Mediterranean chicken pasta. So good, with chorizo, roasted tomatoes, artichokes & a slightly Spicey tomato sauce. Lastly, of course there is the view. Having dinner & looking at the mountain ranges is beautiful thing. Definitely a go do. You'll be glad you did.

After being ranked 4th among Yelp's Top 50 Most Prolific Elites of 2025, a distinction recognizing my consistent community engagement and high-quality contributions, I decided to re-visit this restaurant, which is one of my favorites for exquisite steaks and seafood, for an amazing ambiance, for an outstanding view, for excellent customer service, and for a talented Executive Chef, General Manager, and Staff. Who all have always provided me with an exceptional fine dining experience. This time was not different. The host and server amazed me with their hospitality and service. Had the Winter Fizz Mocktail to drink and tried the Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail as appetizer. They were one of the most plumpy and fresh shrimps I've ever had at a restaurant with an amazing cocktail sauce, and served in a beautiful presentation. For my main entrée I ordered my usual when I dine here to celebrate a special occasion like the one I mentioned above, the Lobster Tail & the 8oz Filet Mignon, cooked to perfection, medium-rare with a baked potato and asparagus. I also enjoyed the special bread and soft whipped cream served with my meal, and my Key Lime Pies, often course. The only thing thay disappointed me is that the restaurant was that the restaurant was not full and the shift manager, did not take the time to come by my table to say hello and chat, like the General Manager faithfully does since the first time I dined here, and that a new young manager did, the last time I dined there. But overall, I had an extraordinary dining experience and even the sun graced me with a lovely sunset.

Great experience at OTH last night. All the food items we ordered were excellent. My wife's blackened halibut was one of the best pieces of fish we have tried, my lobster tail was the biggest tail I have ever had in a restaurant and was cooked perfect, and the OTH Roasted oysters with butter/bacon/cheese/bread crumb topping were as close to famous New Orleans char-grilled oysters as we have had. And our server Ryan, was fantastic. He was on top of every single thing, remembered everything we requested every time, and he went and got items from the kitchen and brought them to us immediately after us asking for anything. He provided truly excellent service and I hope OTH keeps him on board.

We came in to celebrate my husband‘s birthday with a couple family members and friends. It was a Saturday night and it was not at all crowded. The dining room was more than half empty. I'll start off by saying that the food was great however, I felt the lag time between our appetizers, and our main courses was kind of extreme. I really don't understand why we sat at an empty table for so long before anyone approached us considering that we had a reservation. Our server was extremely friendly however service was definitely lacking which again I don't understand since the dining room room was half empty. We asked for bread four times. We asked for water refills over four times there just wasn't a lot of attentiveness. Also, there was no acknowledgment that we were there to celebrate his birthday, which I kind of felt disappointed by overall I feel like there could be some improvement. I also feel like their menu is nothing special. They have the same thing on the menu that they have at all the other restaurants that they own. The cocktail selection is also kind of boring and several of the ones that we have tried have not really been winners.

Our family of 7 had a wonderful dinner at OTC Chophouse and Oyster Bar. The food was delicious and the service was excellent.

Food was outstanding but service was not so. Our waitress would disappear for long periods of time. We ended up sending other waiters to fetch her for us. Noise level was moderate, although it mainly came from one group of about eight persons. They appeared to possibly of some cheer before entering the restaurant.
