Petra is about the saddest Mediterranean/Middle Eastern restaurant I’ve ever been too. I ordered the gyro plate. Meat looked (and tasted) like shoe leather, and they served it over rice with grey-looking vegetables. Ugh. The atmosphere is equally depressing. Walk in and you should immediately turn around. I didn’t because I thought it may be one of those “hole in the wall” gems you find from time to time, but no, this place is just all-around gross. Will not be returning.

The food warms my soul and is always delicious! Online ordering makes takeout easy. Very reasonable prices for food quality and quantity. Will always come back here!
Beef kebab was almost entirely unseasoned roast beef. Flavorless and disappointing.

The food and the service were not worth a duller, not recommended.

Al-Masih Qam! Support this authentic Jordanian-American restaurant.
Don't forget their small selection of grocery items from the Middle East.

Service is always very prompt, very friendly and food is delicious! :)
We have been dining there off & on (out of town) over 8 years. We met the owner, very nice person. But the other older guy is something else! We bought lunch and some olive oil. My wife bought a pack of pistachio baklavas. She tasted one and didn’t like it. She asked for a refund and the old guy got mad, started yelling “everyone likes them, you don’t”! He grabbed the package and threw it in the trash yelling! The young guy returned our money but said “Don’t come back. If you do we’ll call the police”! Lovely service and outburst.

Delicious food and small grocery store oriented to it's namesake country of Jordan (and lots of Turkish stuff, too). The tabbouleh was some of the best we've ever had, and everything else was delicious: mint lemonade, lamb shawarma, stuffed grape leaves, chicken wrap, and Arabic coffee. Cleanliness could be improved, but the service and food made up for it. We will be happy to return the next time we're in Salem!

I had beef shawarma and fries. The shawarma had a great flavor and the fries were seasoned nicely with a nice crisp to them. I will definitely stop back in the next time I'm in the area.

Traditional Jordanian fare at an excellent price. The lamb shawarma is fresh and wonderfully seasoned. Honestly, if they sold the tahini sauce by the bottle I would buy it.
