Ok, there are several levels of WH restaurants. This is one of the BEST ones we have ever eaten at. Great food, nice portions, clean and good location. My new favorite in the Roanoke area.

We love eating at Waffle House. Have never been disappointed there. The restaurant's air conditioning blows cool air that flows accross the table and makes the food cold. Seems there is no where to sit without cold air making bacon and eggs cold. I find myself eating in a hurry.

Everything was awesome, service was top notch from the moment we walked in the door. Everybody got their food and was very satisfied. My food was delicious, finished my entire plate in no time. Coffee was also good, not too strong but definitely not weak. First time trying it out and most certainly not the last. We will definitely have to visit again soon!
Kid-friendliness: From the moment we walked into the door, the two managers held it open and greeted us with a smile. Was very sweet to my 4 year old daughter :)

Waffle House is one of those sacred gems. It doesn't matter if I'm blackout drunk or sober as a cucumber. The food is always wonderful. You know it's going to be good good if the cook is outside smoking a blunt/cig when you pull in. 👌
