Food was delicious, service was almost non-existent but OK if you are patient. I really hope they will start to decorate the place a bit. A few paintings or other Indian decorations would go such a long way here.

We visited this restaurant when it was Athidhi (and Minerva) before covid, when they had the lunch buffet. We stopped by once in 2021, but left because it was empty and they no longer had the lunch buffet.We made the mistake of coming here (on a weekday evening) and left wondering, "How is this place still open???". There weren't any other customers, which should have been the first sign to leave. Zero decor, second sign to leave. The menu looked like it was typed up by a high schooler, no description and was partially hand written, final sign to leave.Unfortunately, being that we had high hopes (since their buffet used to be good), we stayed and ordered a chicken vindaloo and mutter paneer with naan. The naan was like rubber, not sure if it was heated in the microwave or old. The chicken vindaloo looked/tasted like regular chicken curry and had bones, which wasn't even mentioned on the menu. I have ordered chicken vindaloo from many other India restaurants and they always had boneless chicken and actually tasted like vindaloo. The server wasn't helpful in any way and didn't seem to know much about the food. We barley touched the food, paid and just left the rest of the food on the table.

We ordered chicken tikka masala via Grubhub and they gave wrong item. I called them and immediately without any investigation they said initially it's grub hub driver issue and when i told that package had my name but item inside was wrong, they just said ok then it's our mistake of kitchen team. That's it. They didn't thought to correct it which was surprising.

If you are looking for Authentic Indian cuisine Athidhi is your place to eat. The staff greeted me at the door right away, the restaurant is very clean and the time it took from placing the order my food came out at the proper time.Eating the food is delicious, it was warm and had a fuzzy feeling going down my mouth.All I have to say is you must try this food you won’t regret!!!

Amazing Indian food! Absolutely loved the Kadhai Paneer and Tikki chat. Their portions are generous as well (especially the Vegetable chow mein!). We felt family atmosphere and was very happy to receive personalized attention from Gayatri. The staff is very welcoming, polite, and attentive. Would love to come back when we are back in the area. Also, we will definitely recommend them to our family and friends in New York and Virginia. Thank you for your great service.?

I ordered food from them after a long time. Overall it was good, specially the dosa and accompaniments and gulab jamuns. I was not too impressed by their chicken prep on a starter though, prolly something to be worked on. But overall I still like this place compared to many other restaurants arnd.
