Sandwich was not bad but not worth of visiting. The customer service and atmosphere was not good. Not sure she is a casher or the owner, but she was very reluctant. Her vibes made me even feel the unhappiest person in the world. She did not welcome and frowned when I asked for extra napkins. If somebody will buy me free sandwich here, I maybe visit. With my own dime? No.

We are new to the area and today we picked this place based on 4.5 Google reviews. The lady at the counter was not friendly or welcoming, but I expect that from Asian old ladies (I was born and grew up in SEA)Ordered one spicy chicken bahn mi, one not spicy , matcha tea, fried tofu. 100% dissatisfied. Lo and behold, the difference between spicy and non spicy is jalapeño !! The chicken itself is the same. They just put jalapeño slices on the spicy sandwich which I think just lazy cooking. The fried tofu has no seasoning all, so bland, they didn’t even sprinkle salt before cooking them. I guess they haven’t tasted real matcha tea, so they have no clue how to make one. The chicken tasted sweet, like American chicken salad with mayonnaise. What a waste of money !!! We miss WA where you could find lots of good Vietnamese restaurants.

I was in the mood for a bahn mi a few weeks ago and found Banh Mi Kim Lan which has become a regular spot for me. The #1 bahn mi is my favorite sandwich since the meat is sliced more deli-like and the pate really makes it great. The pricing is very good in my opinion and not inflated like a lot of spots around Chantilly. They're also very quick so it's convenient to grab a quick bite.

I give this place a 5 stars because of the sandwiches! I love me a banh mi anytime of the day. It's my favorite type of sandwich to munch on! The location is in Chantilly which is the central area for me where I commute. If I'm ever hungry this is the place I'm stopping by! I can really appreciate the ratio of each ingredient in the sandwich from the protein and veggies! The bread is "omg delicious!!" It's flaky, soft, and the shape of the baguette is perfect. I'm not sure if this is made freshly or what but it tastes like it is. Now, I could give this place only 4 stars because of the ambiance but I literally just go there to get the sandwich and leave anyways. There are tables to sit and eat but the vibe there is very bland and quiet. She could definitely improve the environment but respectfully she is a small business and I'm sure she's doing what she can!

Went there Saturday for lunch. Regular small mom & pop restaurant.ordered spring roll very oily. Not good at all . Mu husband took one bite threw away . We ordered two Ban Mi. Mine was grilled pork. It was ok . Bot sweet for my taste. Had to ask for jalapeño peppers . My husband ordered Barbecue Pork . Didn't have the barbecue flavor . We got Honeydew Bubble tea. Which was good .

Decided to try this place out since it's one of the closest places you can go too for Banh Mi, in the area. The Food: I went with the Banh Mi Dac Biet, $8. The bread was tasty, perfect amount of crunch/toast. Not that much protein filling for the price though. However, everything else was pretty good. The Service: Service was good. Small family business, and they are all very friendly. You order at the register and they go ahead and prep your sandwiches asap. The Atmosphere: Very small place. Mostly a take out spot, with very few seating available. It is very open and not much there.Overall, a 4/5. For the price, about $8 per Banh Mi, it is pretty expensive. But it is one of the only places where you can get one, so it's not too bad. I'd only come here once in a while, since price per Banh Mi is a little expensive for my taste. Good nevertheless.

Best banh mi outside of Eden Center. Bread is fresh and the sandwiches are perfect. Their egg rolls are tasty as well. Smoothies are ok. There's a few tables inside the store too.

Awesome Banh Mi! Easily some of the best in Virginia. Ordered #1, #3, and #10. Smoothies are good too but kind of sweet.
