Delicious food. The staff are friendly. We didn't know the closing time so we arrived a little late, right before closing time. But the staff still let us sit and eat. I'm very grateful for this kindness. Will come back.

We ordered the Deluxe platter which had chicken, beef, and lamb, Borani Banjan-eggplant, and the Gyro with fries. All super delicious with tender meat, and a must try. It was our lucky day because the owner also gave us a plate of their Beef Shola which is usually only available for catering! It was delicious and spicy. The meat was so tender. I think I'm going to have to order it for catering to have it again!

Bread was toasted to perfection; the lamb and chicken marinated really really good. And the rice and chick peas tasted authentic

good food
We ordered boneless chicken breast kababs. The food was delicious! The fresh baled bread and the chicken curry in the side were very yummy. The salad was clean, nicely chopped and fresh and the dressing and chutney were really good. The chutney had a balanced kick to it. The rice was tender and very flavorful.
Overall everything was pretty good. The service and a five star level service. Extremely accommodating, friendly and courteous staff.
The restaurant was very clean and so was the bathroom, very clean and nice smelling.
Ample free parking in front of the restaurant.

Tables were dirty. Chairs were dirty. Filthy bathroom. Trash bin had food dripping down the outside. All while the counter person was just sitting there.
Food was good, when it was eventually ready. Great bread that saved this review from 1 star. There was only 1 other customer, no reason to have taken so long, not busy at all.

Smoki Kabobs is the only place my family and I go to when we crave kabobs and don't have the energy or ambition to cook for ourselves. The boneless chicken and kobeeda platters are SUPER FILLING and EXTRA LARGE portions. We always have enough for leftovers. The flavors and taste of the kabobs and chickpeas are perfection. I highly recommend Smoki Kabobs for a satisfying meal!!!

Let me tell you—Smoki Kabobs knows what they’re doing! The lamb kabobs were so tender and flavorful that I had to double-check if I was still in Chantilly or somehow teleported to Kabul. And don’t even get me started on the chickpeas—perfectly seasoned, warm, and so good they made me question why I ever wasted time with canned ones at home.
Owner sorab has truly mastered the art of comfort food with a kick. If you’re not leaving here full, happy, and plotting your next visit—you’re doing it wrong.

Smoki Kabobs in Chantilly is hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the care and pride that the owner, Mr. Samadi, has poured into this place. He truly runs it with heart, and it shows in every single bite.
The chicken kabobs were unbelievably tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned—flavorful without being overpowering. Every bite felt fresh off the grill, and it’s the kind of taste that stays with you long after the meal is over. The lamb kabobs were just as incredible—rich, savory, and cooked to absolute perfection. You can tell they only use top-quality meat, and the freshness is unmatched.
But what really surprised me was the spinach. I honestly never thought I would rave about spinach at a restaurant, but I have never had anything so fresh and delicious in my life. It was vibrant, full of flavor, and complemented the kabobs beautifully. It felt like home-cooked comfort food but elevated with authentic Afghan flavors that you simply won’t find anywhere else.
Every dish here tastes like it was made with love, and the hospitality makes the experience even more special. Chantilly is lucky to have a gem like Smoki Kabobs, and I can confidently say that this will be my go-to spot anytime I’m craving authentic, fresh, and absolutely delicious Afghan food. Thank you, Mr. Samadi, for creating something so special—you’ve gained a loyal customer for life!
I got food poisoning and severe stomach related issues after eating here. The chicken was stale, spinach overcooked and chickpeas smelled horrible.
Stay away…much better options nearby.

I was very little when the Soviet Union entered Afghanistan that fateful day in December 1979. In just the space of ten years both Afghanistan and Pakistan were left devastated making the Russian communist presence in Afghanistan an effort to Islam. Fortunately the Mujahideen fought a superpower with bravery and valor. At school you could hear talk that if the Soviet Union succeeds in overing Afghanistan Pakistan is next. The Russians are seeking access to warmer ports. Never mind had it led to a drug mafia leaving so many Pakitanis addicted to heroin. The. there was the issue of Refugee camps. President Zia always talked of seeing the time when Afghan refugees returning to their homes in honor and dignity. During the 80 s decade Jimmy Carter as an ex president and his wife Roslyn Carter had a chance to come to Pakistan and visit the refuge camps. The Russians ended withdrawing slowly and gradually. Lastly I now often wonder if addressing the huge big affront to Islam was really worth it
