Kare Bar is a quiet, relaxing, small-sized restaurant, where staff have gone to lengths to deliver high-quality, great tasting dishes at reasonable prices. Very few frills keep it authentic, similar to dining in Japan (where I lived for 3 years). We have been a few times and have not been disappointed yet!

The place may be small, but it has a lot of charm. The menu offers a great selection of creative fusion dishes, and many of them felt like a mix between Japanese and Korean flavors. Everything was fresh, unique, and thoughtfully prepared.
Even though the space is cozy, the food makes the experience truly special. A wonderful spot if you’re looking for something different and flavorful!

Delicious curry!! Would definitely recommend if you're craving curry katsu!! But, I do wanna say the curry was a little thick and would've liked it if it was more runny (it seemed like it was cooked too long that the potatoes became mush and ended up as the consistency making it thick, means you're cooking/simmering it too long 🤔) Anyways, still yummy nonetheless!

This experience was lovely, from the wonderful staff service and friendliness to the amazing food. This is a suitable environment for families as well as a nice place if you were going for date night. My boyfriend and I went, ordered for to go . I got the salmon dish and he got a chicken teriyaki dish. It was really nice and good . Decent portions I’d say, I’d I’m comfortable full (miss on accomplished). :)

First time here, won’t be last for sure. I personally like edamame a lot, they grilled a bit to give unique flavor to it. Curry is def the highlight of the meal. You can’t go wrong with curry. Highly recommended！

On my visit, I sampled several dishes starting with the chicken karaage—crispy, juicy, and as satisfying as any I've had in other Japanese restaurants. The takoyaki, grilled octopus balls, hit all the right notes with their perfectly soft interior. The star of the meal was the tonkatsu curry, a hearty and well-executed dish that rivals my long-time favorite in Rockville, a spot I’ve frequented for 25 years whenever craving Japanese curry.
Kare Bar earns high marks across the board. This cozy eatery delivers a consistently authentic experience, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for genuine Japanese fare. It’s a place I’ll certainly be revisiting
