Khao Man Gai is my favorite comfort Thai dish so I was really excited to try this local spot out.
For starters, if you’re searching up the address to Kindi Chicken and Rice the gps will take you to “Ramen & Rice Bowl” but don’t fret because you’re in the right place! It’s a little confusing and I’m not 100% sure why it’s like that but maybe if it’s because the Kindi Chicken and Rice aspect is literally only a fraction of the restaurant/menu. They serve Japanese and Thai cuisine (wish that was more apparent).
Anyways, we ordered the Signature Khao Man Gai and Combo B - Signature Khao Man Gai (Poached) and Grilled Khao Man Gai (Yang). The Signature KMG was great, it had a mix of dark and white meat (not a fan of white meat but I also didn’t ask if I could only have dark meat so I’ll definitely ask next time). The Grilled KMG was a little sweet which was odd so not my favorite. In a pinch when I’m craving KMG this place will definitely hit the spot. Worth the try!

This is my favorite place to order catering. My family loves how tender the poached chicken is and the fragrant ginger rice. The sauces are delicious and are good for dipping anything in!

Best lunch spot in Herndon. Very flavorful, filling portions, speedy service. One of the few places I can find Thai Khao Soi and if you know then you know. Will recommend every time.

I never say this, but RUN from this place. The boiled chicken and rice were STICKY (i.e., bacteria laden). I ordered a $70 catering tray and threw the entire thing in the trash after driving an hour to pick it up. It was so disappointing and disgusting. I can not believe they would serve such an abomination. Utterly nasty. Update: I have texted my receipt as proof

If you love a simple Hainanese chicken rice with a warm bowl of soup do try this place ! We got 2 combos the combo A with poached chicken and fried chicken with rice & combo C which was grilled chicken and fried chicken with rice and a big bowl of chicken clear soup , both were good but I enjoyed the combo C better . They serve it with 2 sauces both delicious, if you like extra spicy then surely ask for chilli oil ? its spicyy be careful! Overall a great experience the food ambiance !

Delicious! Located inside of Umai ramen and rice bowl. Fresh ingredients, nice portion size and great flavors. I ordered combo B (poached and grilled), soup and pork buns. I loved the soup, and it's only $2.50! The pork buns were great and the combo bowl was delicious, I tried both sauces and can't decide which one I liked more, both tasty. the restaurant itself (Umai) is cute, too. It's small, but I like the vibe. Both restaurants have great food.

first the location as others have mentioned. My GPS stopped me at a turn that was gated which was wrong, have to go down one more turn. Kindi Thai is located inside Frontier Kitchen, which is in the building behind the one that says Marble Systems that you will see from the street. Pretty cool to have several food places at one location, would like to check out the others some day as well.You ring a door bell for the restaurant you want and they will come to the door to take your order.I got the fried chicken and it was delicious! it was to go so the first thing was the aroma. It smelled so good on the drive home I couldn't wait to eat it. Chicken was nice and crispy. Rice was flavorful but wasn't too different from regular white rice in my opinion. Bowl is bigger than it looks in pictures.The sauce it comes with is key, it's delicious!

I ordered a combo which has hainanese chicken and fried chicken over rice.I been travel to Thai several times, I would say the food is below average.For the price I don't think it worth it.hainanese chicken is really try and rice is very soggy which is definitely not the right taste.Chick should be juicy and tender, rice should be flavorful not soggy and soft.

Packaging for pick up is clean and well packed. It’s not your ordinary restaurant, this is a kitchen which cater for Pick Up only. Call ahead so you don’t have to wait outside the building. This is an over rated store in terms of the quality and price. Overpriced for $13 and just an ordinary chicken recipe that you can get at any Oriental restaurant. The location is hard to find.

Khao Man Gai wasn’t bad although the sauce that came with it was really bad. The soup was tasty but after having it the lips and tongue burnt from the high level of sodium in it. Overall, I didn’t have good experience with this dish. Would try again in the far future if they have sauce and soup recipe adapted.
