Amazing ice cream! I had a large bowl of Cheesecake custard. The texture and flavor were top notch. Although a bit pricey, I loved the experience of a satisfying cool dessert on a hot day.

This place was a gem find after dinner. We all had a small cake cones with chocolate/ vanilla and the portion size was more than expected. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was clean with a nice patio outside. Would recommend and would revisit.

Been here a couple times. However on a recent trip the ice cream was not near as good or creamy as it used to be and the place had an old and moldy smell. Definitely world pass it possible and go to different dessert/ice cream place.

Trapped in the 80's, this place has retained none of the charm and is simply just old. It's clearly not well maintained with the décor being old but not intentional, just never having been updated. This makes the location quite unwelcoming and sullen.The menu and operation of this place is confusing and I wouldn't be surprised people were simply turned away because of that. Unless you've been here before, you have no idea how it works. Apparently you have vanilla and chocolate only, with a special flavor of the day. There is no mention of this and all the menu items just build on top of that. The girl behind the counter was completely unhelpful and never offered any clarification or help while we stood very confused.How this place stays in business is confusing.

I cannot believe I payed more that $18 for a quarter of vanilla ice cream… this is nothing like the one I tested a few years back, this is regular fake vanilla ice cream. Any place is better that this place, pity it lost that special unique flavor and texture. A really waste of my money. The supermarket has better quality ice cream and for less..my bad..very disappointed to say the least…never again

They have given up. This place has been around for 20 yrs or so? I went their way back in the day. They always only had the 2 flavors really (van/choc), but the place was OK. The train track thing was running. It was a 3.5 star place. Now? As other reviews state, it seems dirty, old, and on life support. Everything is the same as it was 20 yrs ago. No attempt at changing things around, and changing with the times. I mean, my gosh...at least get rid of the train and train tracks if it doesn't run anymore! A depressing reminder of what this place used to be. OK, so what recently set me off though was going in there and getting "flavor of the day". Strawberry shortcake. Basically their flavor of the day consists of dropping stuff into either the choc or vanilla base custard. Not that exciting. But whatever. Ok, so I order it. Well, I will tell you if they mixed ONE single strawberry into their entire vat of vanilla, it would have shocked me. My custard had ZERO strawberries in it. Not even pinkish in color. And the shortcake? Well, I tasted a few crumbles in there. Not even in the same universe as the amount of shortcake you would get if going to Coldstone Creamery. It just showed an utter lack of care and quality control. Their "strawberry shortcake" was literally vanilla custard...with some strange "texture" in there once every few bites. Awful. Compare to Abbots frozen custard in sterling. Night and day! Wish we had Abbots in Fairfax, and this place would just finally go gently into the night.

The entire place needs a complete renovation. It's VERY DIRTY anf EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE is faded, ripping, in poor repair, etc. I wonder who owns this now. It's a total mess. Uniforms are skank. I just don't know how they can have any pride in walking in to work at this place. I will not be back. Freddy's is better custard anyway. Shame on this place for making money on the ice cream and completely ignoring any of the amenities. Horrible. Not coming back.

Welp, I'm disappointed.As a custard lover, I hear that the best custard is in Wisconsin, so I was excited to try this place. But... it didn't taste like custard... it didn't even taste like high quality ice cream. Custard is defined by the percent of fat... and.... Im pretty sure this wasn't it. Usually custard is super creamy. But this was flat and melty. Won't be back. Rather travel to a meadows custard
