We have been dining at Otani's since they opened many years ago. Even though we moved out of the area, we still make the trip to OTani's for special treat.

We arrived for our 5 pm reservation on time for 4 adults 2 children. We were rushed from our entrance. We were seated and immediately asked for our drink orders they came quickly and then we were asked for our food order. My husband ordered an appetizer which we would normally eat while awaiting our main course. The chef came over right away with food to grill we received the fried rice noodles and vegetables before the appetizer. While my husbands steak was being put on his plate out came tempura shrimp (his appetizer). We were pretty much still eating when we were asked if they could take our plates. We asked for doggie boxes and as we were placing our food into them ice cream came for dessert when the table was fully cleared and our bill paid I looked at my phone. It was 5:45. This included waiting for a 9 year old to finish his brownie and ice cream and all singing happy birthday To add insult the medium rare steak as ordered was rubbery and well done as was the chicken. Both tasted as if they had been microwaved Total bill 2 kids 4 adults with only 2 glasses of wine $222.60. Children's meals begin at $17

Overall a good Hibachi experience. The cook interacted mostly with the kid in the other party at our table which was to be expected, but otherwise just sort of went through the motions. Food was great and plenty of it! I'd definitely visit again if I was in the mood for some Hibachi.

I don't usually take the time to write reviews, but we had such a good experience at this restaurant and I wanted to share. The service here was incredible. I told my husband that I can't remember the last time I felt so well-cared for by the staff at a restaurant. As soon as we sat down the server brought us our salads and soup. He took our drink orders and asked if we were celebrating a birthday (we were). Anytime we needed anything we received it immediately and the chef came shortly after we finished our soup and salad. Since we were there with small children, we truly appreciated the attentiveness. The food was great, and at the end of our meal, the server came out with ice cream for everyone and a special plate for my husband, along with tambourines so that the kids could use them while singing happy birthday. It was truly a terrific experience, so I had to share!
