Typical mom and pop Mexican style restaurant located in a strip mall. It was clean and decorated nicely. My wife had a quesadilla which was large and she said very good. I had a cheese enchilada which was ok. I thought the prices were a little high for what you got. Close to 3 star.

We tried this place for the first time tonight. Excellent service, strong drinks. Chips and salsa were fresh. Good vegetarian options. Shout out to Serafin who came out with both my to go box and the credit card after we left them at the table ? ?

My expectations about this place it was higher but definitely this restaurant needs add more taste on food. Salsa for chips it is really bitter and don’t taste like tomatoes. The Birria Tacos are my favorites from Mexican dishes but the “caldo” they serve with tacos do not taste meat they mixes lime juice probably. It’s my opinion about the food.Staff it is little friendly.Atmosphere it is clean and nice!

The food here tasted bland. There were no authentic Mexican flavors. Tacos al pastor did not come with pineapples and toppings were placed outside even though I did not ask for this. Flauta was extremely crispy and fell apart while eating. Rice tasted like nothing. Fajita was also bland and had more vegetables than actual meat. Only thing here that saved food was the guacamole and salsa. Staff is very friendly and attentive but food quality is not what we expected. Their prices are also questionable. I ordered the combination of one taco item and 1 enchilada item and this was cheaper than if I would have bought the 2 tacos al pastor and flauta separately.Vegetarian options: There are some vegetarian items on menu.Parking: There is parking in front of location and around.

Guijillo peppers are used to make tortillas used for enchiladas at the Picante restaurant. These peppers are grown in Central Mexico, tastes nutty with hints of wild berries. Its different in an enchiladas, one b/c the tortilla is a dark purplish color, and two has a chewier bite than the traditional white corn tortillas. With the right red sauce its a good enchilada. Picante serves the enchiladas with excellent homemade refried beans and a cilantro tasting Mexican rice. Its very tasty as a plated meal. You'll also enjoy homemade toasted corn chips and a spicey hot dipping sauce. I also tried a pork house tamale in red sauce. It is good. There's a different masa flavor to this tamale which isn't like the corn masa flavor I'm familiar with. Picante does use a generous chopped pork portion in their tamales. Bonapetite!

Really great food! We got the chicken quesadilla and fajitas with chicken and steak. Wow. Incredible. The tortillas were fresh and homemade. Best tortillas I’ve ever eaten in the US.

A Northern Virginia favorite! I ordered the white chicken enchilada, not too spicy but the accompanying green sauce adds a great kick. My family friend’s have been going here for years and told me it’s been open for 20+ years and this is there place for birthdays, and even catered my best friends wedding!

This was our first time at Picante! Excellent and authentic Mexican food, we tried several items off the menu my entire table enjoyed their entries, I had the steak/shrimp fajita. The restaurant space is big and comfortable. Great drinks and the servers are very nice, top notch customer service everyone works hard and pitches in. The service is extremely quick, variety options on the menu, the drinks are great, tasty food and the prices are good. Don’t forget the yummy churros and honey for dessert. Highly recommend!

It was yummy. I enjoyed the pork twice now and the steak fajita meat is also excellent. Great staff and friendly place. Got the dinner deal and it has soup that comes as a nice treat. Kids eat free Mondays is a win for my family. Cheese quesadilla and cheese n bean burritos for them.

A GREAT Mexican joint! I had the chicken enchiladas with green sauce… they were on! Point! A little bummed the bar area was closed and dark on a Friday at 7pm, but otherwise if you are in the area and want good Mexican food, this is the place to get it!

Delicious Mexican food & excellent service! We dropped in for lunch on a Friday, just after noon, and had the best enchiladas and carne asada I've had in a long time. The portions were so big, we each took half our meal home with us. The prices were very good. The service was friendly and prompt.Vegetarian options: Plenty of veggies options. Kid-friendliness: Everything is kid friendly, even the non alcoholic drinks. Parking: Plenty of parking. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy wheel chair access, and plenty of wheel chair accessible tables.

One of the best hidden secrets in Chantilly! Authentic Tex-Mex served quick and with great drinks from the Tequila Bar! The menu is full of good choices and even the take home cater platters are delicious.
