We’ve been to Sushi Ohayo several times and usually enjoy the food — everything we ordered this time was delicious and reasonably priced.
However, we had a disappointing experience during our recent visit. We came with an 8-year-old child who had already eaten and wasn’t planning to eat. We let the server know in advance. During the meal, he just picked 1–2 small pieces of cucumber from a salad we were already eating. The server had been closely watching us, and the moment he touched the food, she immediately came over and said we had to pay for the kid ($14.99 kids’ price, plus tax and an 18% tip — all for just a couple of cucumber slices).
We understand if that’s the policy, but the way it was handled felt uncomfortable and overly strict. After she added the charge, her attentiveness dropped, and it was difficult to get service.
Also, a heads-up: they automatically add an 18% tip for groups of 5 or more — which is fine — but the receipt still shows additional tip suggestions at the bottom. It’s easy to accidentally double tip if you’re not careful.
We still like the food here, but this experience left us feeling a bit disappointed.

All you can eat sushi at about $26 p/p. Add $6 for sashimi options. Good sushi, fresh and not a ton of rice to fill you up. As all-you-can-eat goes, this place is a keeper. Usually order a set amount from any sushi restaurant, so that's what I ordered... That's all I can eat! Check was about 15% less than a regular sushi place with comparable quality.

Caught up with friends over an AYCE dinner at Sushi Ohayo, and while I didn’t snap any photos, the food definitely delivered. I started with a miso soup and a seaweed salad, followed by a sea angel roll, a salmon roll, and two pieces of tuna sushi.
Could I have eaten more? Probably—but I tried to exercise a little self-control. 😅
The highlight for me was the tuna sushi—generous cuts of fresh tuna over well-prepared rice. The sea angel roll was also filling and flavorful. My only gripe? The salmon roll was tiny. I get that classic rolls tend to be on the smaller side, but this one barely had any salmon in it, which was a bit disappointing.
I didn’t try any hibachi, though it smelled amazing every time a fresh plate came out of the kitchen. For the price of this place, you really can’t beat it!
Service-wise, our server was great—super attentive and consistently checked in every time she cleared a plate, making sure we had everything we needed.

I’ve been coming here months, on to a year at first food was amazing service amazing, I told everyone I could. So far so good however my last two visits are the reason I won’t come back. The first out of the two experiences I receive hair in my food, I speak with the manager he offers my food 50% fine dandy I let him know this wouldn’t deter me from ever coming back but I completely lost my appetite that night. I wait about 2 weeks because sometimes it can be busy I’ve been coming to this restaurant for almost a year and never had an issue—until recently so nothing made me think this would happen again.
This time, a different manager was on duty. I pointed it out to my server, who spoke with that manager and returned my bill with 10% off.
I asked to speak with the manager, concerned that this had happened twice now. Before I could even explain the previous incident, she responded with, “That’s very funny because ni one else had said this happened to them .”
That response alone was enough for me to reconsider returning. What’s more concerning is that the kitchen is in view—and despite previous reassurances that staff wear hairnets, I noticed several cooks not wearing any hair protection at all.
Finding hair in your food once is unpleasant. Twice is alarming. Being met with sarcasm instead of accountability? Unacceptable. They did try to make it right, but I didn’t appreciate being spoken to like that at all, I’m not coming back despite being invited back. Treat people kind from the beginning!

Overall, I was satisfied.
The sushi was above average, though not outstanding. The staff were friendly and attentive, which definitely made the experience better.
Decent value for money worth trying if you’re in the area.

It was great. Went with some friends and got all you can eat sushi. Worked out great! Fantastic selection, great service, overall amazing. There were a few rolls listed as being spicy and they were but it wasn't the strongest. Made up for it in flavor.
