Upper Shirley Vineyards

We were a party of 5 celebrating a birthday. We were greeted and seated promptly. The food wine and service was excellent. Highly recommend 🍷

Venue is stunning, Food (especially the Chicken Pot Pie) was excellent. The wines were some of the best I've had in Virginia. We certainly enjoyed the Petit Verdot and the Tannat

The food was delicious and the service was good. A little too cool to sit outside but the view is the best around.

Our first visit. Had a great time and meal. However, we were seated on the back porch at a table that had a lot of waste food right under our feet. No attempt made to reseat us or clean it up. Looks to have been the dropped remnants from a child. Nonetheless, it could have been cleaned before we were seated. Else, super time, atmosphere and food. Not too keen on the wine flight. Only 2 out of 4 were to our liking. We will return though.

It was a wonderful lunch on the back deck with a beautiful view! Your Viognier is the best. We had two panini sandwiches and split the truffle fries. Everything was delicious! Staff were great!!

We've been before and will continue to return. The upper Shirley experience is always very pleasant. A bottle of blanc de blanc and a bowl of parmasan truffle fries will any problems you might have. Looking forward to the December Santa Brunches.

We really enjoyed our visit to Upper Shirley. The property is great, the outdoor seating is a must, and the food and wine flights were outstanding. We have been before, and the experience just keeps getting better and better. Our sons played soccer out on the lawn while we enjoyed views of the water and property.

Very nice but not great service and they were not busy at all. We had to get server several times and did not bring water or ask if we wanted dessert (or more wine). In fairness, we stayed over our 2 hour time limit but it was pouring rain and we couldn't go out or even safely leave. We will definitely go again but hopefully it will be sunny!

We celebrated a birthday. The salmon dish was cooked to perfection. Great flavor and the fish was moist and delicious!

Fabulous lunch! All the food was high-quality, and the service was excellent. We ordered cocktails and sat on the back terrace, enjoying the views! All wonderful!

Great ambiance. We love cycling to Upper Shirley and dining on the patio. With the serene river view, it's a perfect stop for a long lunch. The staff are cheerful and accommodating.

Lobster Roll was excellent. Atmosphere was great, friendly customers, staff was wonderful, felt comfortable, content

We had a family lunch and it was outstanding. We were able to sit outside because the weather was perfect. The sandwiches were enough for two meals.

We enjoyed a delight afternoon at Upper Shirley. Lunch was great & our server, Matt, was excellent. After lunch, we moved down to the patio to lounge on comfy sofas & chairs with a shade umbrella.
