We celebrated a birthday. The salmon dish was cooked to perfection. Great flavor and the fish was moist and delicious!

What a discovery. For someone pretty new to the area this is a must stop to visit and hang out. From ambience to food to WINE!!!

It would be good if the menu on open table would be the same as the one at the restaurant. I wanted crab dip. Otherwise excellent.

We visited for lunch-food was good for a lunch event. Portions are plentiful - brussel sprouts, pimento cheese, especially. Wine was average. Would definitely return just for the food.

Great experience. We had the turkey Panini and Brussel Sprouts. White wine flights. All were exceptional. Jenny was our server and took good care of us.

We had a lovely time at Upper Shirley Vineyards. It had been a while since we had been there, and once we got there, wondered why we had waited so long to go back. Everything was perfect. We met friends for lunch and wine flights and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We won't wait so long to return next time.

Stopped in for lunch. Pretty views but lousy service. I waited 40 minutes for a Cobb salad.

Eating good food while looking at the James River is wonderful! The lobster roll was so flavorful. And I love the truffle fries!

Gorgeous venue, decent wines and flight options. Impersonal, but maybe caught them on a very busy Sunday. Plenty of seating inside as well as on back porch and back patio/lawn area, overlooking the river just a little ways away.

I hosted my friend’s birthday party here for 22 people and I couldn’t be more pleased with the staff and service. Excellent in every way, thanks so much for making it a great memory for her.

Oh my second time having the salmon dish. Best ever in all the US, with Viognier. The staff is awesome. The chef here is wonderful.

My group of 10 friends treated me to a lovely bday celebration yesterday at Upper Shirley Vineyards. The company was superb, the food delicious, the wine very pleasant…,but the waitstaff very unfriendly. They don’t smile and rushed us to be sure we were off property exactly at 5 pm.
There wasn’t a flower or plant anywhere? The place could use some decor. The view of River from the porch is very nice though.

Great food and wine!!! Beautiful outside. Wait staff could be a little more friendly but charcuterie board, smash burger and chocolate cake are outstanding !!!
