It was good no complaints...service good...food good however it wasn't anything fantastic to jump out at me, where I'd leave my house in Petersburg to go there. I will say the bar must be fantastic because people were come in steadily saying.....I'm going to the bar. So at some point I will return to sample the bar .

El Patron is our favorite restaurant! The food, drinks, and atmosphere are GREAT! But it’s the people that work there that make it a truly special place. Luis (the owner), Julio, and Carmen (just to name a few), are just the nicest people you could ever know!
My visit is superb every time!!! The service is excellent and so is the food!!! Carmen is an excellent server and always serves with a smile. She knows what I like and is prepared for me upon arrival. I love her! All of the staff is friendly and treat me like family. Even when they aren't waiting on me, they always greet me in the friendliest manner. This is absolutely my favorite Mexican restaurant!

Today, 03/21/24, I went to eat at this restaurant with my daughter. A boy served us and he took us to the left side. I don't know why there were unoccupied tables at the entrance. It seemed like they were decriminating us. Then they brought us the food and in no time. They went to ask us if we needed anything, bad attention, thank you, good day.
Service today (3/21/24) was poor. Ordered two entrees and a kid's meal. Only the kid's meal and one entree came out. Server never came back to check, so after 20min or so, I had to flag down the bartender who rectified the situation. He said the kitchen did not receive the order. Eventually the food came, but there were no apologies or offer of compensation. Not happy with the service today. The food was tasty, tho.

I have frequently gone to El Patron, the last time I went for a delivery order I had a bad experience with the hostess Jimena, first she was alone on her phone, it took her a while to give me my order and then she was just on the phone. on the wall behind the bathrooms and looked out until another person came to give me my order. I think they should put more competent people in their jobs.

A really great place to get authentic Mexican cuisine! Coming here for lunch was a great idea. The chips and salsa were amazing, as well as all of the items we ordered.
