The coffee beans in a bag titled Liberty Street Blend is the best ground coffee I have ever had. I drink a ton of coffee. I French press this coffee and it is awesome. If you love coffee ground at home too, try it it’s delicious and smooth. The price is perfect too..I wish I could order it direct online. It’s a Great coffee shop and atmosphere. Veteran owned 💯🇺🇸

The atmosphere and the employees were nice, however the $8 “large” coffee was incredibly underwhelming and watery.

I really enjoy this place! It's clean and relaxing. The staff are friendly and clearly hard working. The food and coffee are fantastic. They focus on quality compared to large franchise operations which seem to focus on moving as many customers through as possible. I love the bagel breakfast sandwich and the chicken salad. Their house coffee and espresso is very smooth and low acid!

Don't know what's going on, but the person working seems not to pay attention when someone is waiting to place a order. She just keeps on cleaning without ever responding to the customer. This has happened more than once. I've heard that Grant sold the business at the end of 2024.

Love that this place is Veteran owned! Their latte was smooth, flavorful and even without adding pumps of syrup was quite good. Very good mocha, not too sweet which is my preference. Definitely did not enjoy the drip coffee, it was too fruity, citrusy and acidic for my taste. Very clean cut ambiance, welcoming and friendly staff, great seating options and very clean. Will be back!!

Thanks “Virginia Cafe Passport” for helping me find this place! This was our first visit in our cafe passport and it did not disappoint. Most important question, would I come back? Yes! Second most important, how’s the house coffee? Unfortunately, it’s weak and a little watery. Third, how’s the latte? Great! Just was missing foam but it was smooth and rich. Fourth, staff? Great folks that were kind and attentive. Finally, the place. It was spacious with thoughtful seating. It was very clean and wasn’t too loud.

This shop is close enough to us that I’d come back. I’d come here for the latte, I just wish it was open later; I would love to come here on a Friday or Saturday afternoon/early evening but they close at 2pm.

I did not like their coffee. I go to a lot of different coffee shops but something about my marshmallow latte tasted absolutely artificial. The croissant we ordered was cold... The atmosphere is depressing as well as the service. No one seems happy to be there.

Update from my response earlier this morning... There was no management, I did as, the young lady at the counter said management was out. We visited in the afternoon shortly before closing. The music was dull and bland. It was recommended for me to try your coffee shop from the owners of my local coffee shop in New Kent, who had very nice things to say about your coffee.

I think you need to learn to listen to your customers instead of nasty, unprofessional, snarky responses. Things can't be perfect all the time, the army should have taught you that at the very least.

2024 update: tried again, still not good sadly.

Polite staff, good and fresh food, seats available. Was great for a quick stop before we got back on the road for holiday traveling. Military discount available

Very nice modern atmosphere with neighborhood warmth. The owner greeted me with a huge smile and welcomed me to the establishment. Gave me a rundown of the menu options and asked if I had any questions. Each person that came by had some familiarity with the owner and staff (wide range of ages and demographics). My drink was customized to my specifics as were the other customers who were there at that time. Enjoyed every drop of my latte!! Definitely will bring family & friends to this establishment.

We ordered strawberry frappes and bagel with cream cheese. The frappes were incredibly thin. It tasted like strawberry milk from WaWa mixed with bottled water and slightly chilled. Definitely not a frappe.

We waited a bit longer than expected for just a plain bagel with cream cheese but it tasted fresh which was nice. The atmosphere was relaxing and the inside is absolutely beautiful. Pricing was good and everything seemed clean. Staff seemed a bit slow and made our order more confusing than necessary but I believe that's because the young lady at the register was new?

Also to note: It wasn't busy during our visit. We may be back, tbd..

**UPDATE: OWNER IS A BULLY.

With how the OWNER (who we were NOT speaking with) just responded, that goes to show you, who NOT to give your business to. My review gives a good and bad response but clearly, this "adult" doesn't know how to read and comprehend. Let me drop it to one star for ya.

So while his response is absolutely disgusting as a SMALL business owner, thankfully, he's saving us from wasting our money at his establishment ever again. Especially since we were going to give it a second try and hopefully redo our review. That won't be happening now. Again, the flavors weren't bad, it just wasn't made right.

**Check out his response to anyone who has an issue with his business. An owner who can't take criticism is a business set for failure. Notice how he's stalking people and snooping on their account. This is a grown ass man. Is this where you want to put your money!?

Skip this place and treat yourself to some Wally's milkshakes right beside this location. Same price, better quality, and service. Been going there for years and the owner is always willing to listen and correct their mistakes! (An owner I have actually spoken to and have now been a loyal customer for years)

Maybe instead of taking notes on everyone's past reviews (who leave you a bad review), take notes on how to better your own company. Or better yet, take notes on being a better human. You seem to be lacking those skills the most.

Oh and as for the "you drink half blah blah blah". Okkkk.. I never said it tasted bad. I said it tasted like watered down milk, which is not a "frappe". Here we go with that reading and comprehending problem. And this was legit the consistency the entire time, so draw back on your lying.

And if we want to drop names, which my husband isn't the one making the review, I can. But I'm a bit more grown than you. Grow up and have a fantastic day!

Grant Coffee! And Great Service goes well together! First time visiting-Grant Coffee Company. I ordered a Regular Mocha latte with Peppermint- Delicious!! I’ve always seen it tucked away across from Walgreens. I’m very happy that I decided to stop in. It’s very cozy, and relaxing! The owner very respectful and service was fast! Great place to get out of your home office and take a coffee break or take a conference call. I will be back for lunch- can’t want to try the chicken salad.
