What a great place! Indoor and outdoor seating, with a bar area. Menu that has delicious options for all tastes and reasonable prices for everything. Daily lunch/dinner/drink specials. Attentive staff. Highly recommend.

A work trip brought me to Chester, VA for the first time. Google led me to Howlette’s. The crab cakes were so good I went back the next night and ordered them again. I have one more night here and I just may have them a third night. I can’t forget the cheesecake that is to die for. This is the first time I have ever done a review but I wanted the owners how much I enjoyed their food.

Totally different than 3 years ago.Hunter has turned this place around.Food was amazing but as always still has your staples that we love...prime rib, peanut butter pie, fried deviled eggs etc. Def a new date night spot

I was in town for a large project and needed a no nonsense dinner. I was craving a steak. Howlett’s came up and I’m glad I went. Classy and simple atmosphere and delicious food. Well, the ribeye and baked potato was delicious! I highly recommend Howletts.

Prime rib was delicious, prepared rare as ordered, nice cut of meat and juicy. Brussels sprouts were very good, I loved the way they were prepared, tasted so good I ate them all first. Baked potato nice size and baked to perfection. Price was fair for the amount and quality of food. Boyfriend had same except mixed grilled veggies which were also very tasty. Got our food to go as staying at Hotel nearby and it was warm, fresh and delicious when I got to our room. We had 2 Pugs with us or we would have enjoyed there. All staff friendly, accommodating and on point. Looking forward to our next time we stop over in Chester to try another meal!

I always have a great time here & the food is always great. But if you’re wanting that prime rib special @ 4PM. Make sure it’s at least 4:01PM when you’re seated because my wife & I sat down at 3:55 because we’d get our food well past 4PM & had to pay full price. Let’s just say, we weren’t that happy.

Food was good, service adequate, however where we sat there is a ice machine in one corner (outside kitchen area!) that employees were using/filling and was extremely noisy and distracting.

Had a piece of hair on my baked potato and was offered a free dessert or beer. The spot to be !!

Loved the deep fried deviled eggs. Don't recommend the Brussel sprouts. Over all good but like many other reviews seasoning is not a priority in the food. Atmosphere was great service spectacular.

They serve up a great meal. Sean the waiter was awesome. He was ahead of the situation. I recommend him as your waiter.
