I've attempted to dine with this place four times, trying to support a black owned business. Each time, they've sent the completely wrong order, including today. I ordered a shrimp platter, hot wings and a slice of cake. They sent me boneless BBQ wings and cheese fries. Then, the phone line is turned off so you can't actually speak with anyone.

We ordered for a family of five. The double cheeseburgers are HUGE! Nice crispy fries too. The Mac and cheese was amazing and so was the chicken and waffles! The staff is friendly and welcoming.

I use to be a frequent customer when it first opened but had not been in over 7 years. They made many changes and the customer service was top notch. My cashier was helpful, attentive and funny. The prices are a bit high but so is food cost so I understand. Now, the food! I purchased a three piece whiting dinner. My fish was hot, crispy and niced sized. It had a very light seaaoned taste. I prefer my fish well seasoned but overall no real complaint 3.5/5. The tartar sauce was delicious and tasted homemade and was creamy. Texas Pete hot sauce is a trusted standby not hot but is very good on well seasoned food. My sides were the mac and cheese and black eyed peas. My mac had no seasoned taste but was creamy. Not bad but not good either so 2.5/5. My black eyed peas were seasoned well and it was a good amount. Plus, they were soft, not undercooked but not mushy. Will definitely get those again. I should have got a piece of cornbread to eat with them . 5/5 Overall I will go back and try a few more items. 3.5/5 overall but great customer service

I stopped by after church on 10/13/24. I ordered a pork chop dinner with Mac n cheese and carrot soufflé . $19. Well, piece a bread apparently is not included. The chop was of good quality but lacked any flavor and considering the thickness, should have been marinated. The carrot soufflé was the best thing but that Mac n cheese was straight trash. I definitely believe it was box not even browned on top and there was a powdery consistency in it. I support my people and just like any other restaurant I have to let you know the truth. I understand that it may be easier to make box Mac n cheese but you must know the secrets to making it good. The meat needs to be marinated with at least ‘accent’ seasoning to bring out its natural flavors but just tossing in flour and frying isn’t enough.

Dietary restrictions: I do not eat pork, and you had vegetables that weren't cooked in pork !! I really appreciate that... at most restaurants I can't eat the vegetables.. I love my vegetables!!

The greens and cabbage were good. The catfish was good, too. If it had anything to do with being fried, it was a go. The mac and cheese was of so much concern I almost called to have it refunded. They served it knowing the noodles had been in the water too long. The cheese was even watery. It was so soggy that I almost regurgitated. Poor food handling is a big no, no for me. So, I cant go back because I have a weak stomach for stuff like that, but if I can save someone else from that experience....pass on the mac and cheese and you may want to put some razzle dazzle in the greens if you are used to your greens having a smoked flavor.
