Let me just start out with the positive. The portions were great! We ordered the fried sampler and the fried fish lunch. This was more than enough food for the two of us and the price was reasonable. We were extremely full and took a whole meal of left-overs home. Now onto the negative.. The fried fish was pretty bland and it still had the skin on it. We also found the crab cake to be a little too fishy. The fried oysters and onion rings were fine as were the french fries, but nothing stood out as exceptional. This wasn't a fine dining experience and the quality was maybe a step above Captain D's. Service was a bit slow, but our waitress was friendly and helpful. Definitely a great value, but I don't think we'll be coming back.

Very popular place! Casual family atmosphere. We met with family members for a group dinner at Riptides on a Saturday evening. They don't do reservations, so get there early with a large group! Service was very good, the servers were VERY busy and working hard. The restaurant was packed so noise level was higher than I expected. Atmosphere was busy and friendly.I had seared scallops that were perfectly cooked. Husband had baked catfish that was very good, but he will try blackened next time. We will be back!
