Stumbled into this bakery and it’s now going to be our go-to. They did our wedding cake and it was really well done on the short time given.

I attended a casual Church social with dinner and signed up to bring a dessert. Our local Bakery, Baking is for Lovers, had numerous sweets to choose from. Their Cakes looked amazing! I made 4 different Cookie selections - Triple Chocolate something, Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal raisin, and shortbread. Service was excellent, and their cookies were a huge hit!
I hate being this person, but feel the need to. Ordered sandwiches, cinnamon buns and coffees. The coffees were disgusting and undrinkable. I wish I had said something in the moment. They were clearly made by pouring hot coffee over ice so it was super watered down. There was a thick layer of something at the bottom, despite this is, it was totally unsweetened and gross. Sandwiches were good, cinnamon buns were decent. I'll come back and give it another try, but today totally bummed me out. They were understaffed and I can be understanding about that.

Fantastic service, the girl that helped us was great and super friendly and helpful. This was our first time there, and will unfortunately be the last... We purchased a bunch of things, and the Lemon Lasagna had mold on it, which I only saw when we got home. The Lemon Cake was tasty but very dry, as well. It makes you wonder how long ago these items were prepared...
Vol made a beautiful birthday cake for my mom's 84th. She is extremely talented and designed my mom's cake to perfection. I almost cried when she presented it to me. I was especially pleased with the creativity and obvious time that Vol put into the cake. The flavor was carrot and it was so moist and delicious. My family, especially Mom, had a great celebration. I highly recommend Baking Is For Lovers. So pleased. I'd give them 10 stars if I could.

First time here and SO charming! The staff was really sweet and so were the treats ? They asked me about my dietary restrictions and helped me choose a baked good that started my day off out right! Located downtown Christiansburg really made this beautiful cafe even more beautiful!

We popped in this afternoon for a treat on our way home from Roanoke. It was difficult to choose, but we left with cream cheese iced cinnamon rolls and a piece of their carrot ? cake. Carrot cake is perfection and the cinnamon rolls are the best. Old fashioned, yeasty and wonderful. So, so good!
