If I can score a 0 I would this is the 1st time going and I will NEVER Return. My friend and I try the buffet and that was the worst experience ever wasn’t worth the money. The food was cold salad bar was a mess no body ever came out to clean. The only thing nice was the serving girl. When saying something when we left they act like it wasn’t that big of a deal and asked if we wanted to buy a dessert to go. Wouldn’t waste money on this place, how they still open got me.

Great service thanks Jonica
Wasn't worth the 40 minute drive there.
Service was real good.
The complaints and, or low ratings, need to be taken for what they are -- opinions. You get what you pay for. If you want higher price, better presentation, more atmosphere, then sure, you can go wherever you want, but good luck this side of big city. The food is food, real, not junk adulterated fare, all homemade. Quality, nutrition, and value for your dollars. With a breakfast buffet at $9.25, lunch/dinner @ $12-$13, you can select reasonable nutritious food off the small varied buffet (that you can see before selecting), or order off the menu, for more or less cost, at your choice, no free refills like the buffet. The place is clean, service is fair, food homemade, nutritious, competitively priced. Perspective... Welcome to a place where lots of locals eat - daily - and enjoy it.
The food here is horrible for one. I tried it for the first time a few weeks ago and will NEVER buy there again. However, my daughter loves their hamburgers ONLY, and often goes to buy from them multiple times a week. Today, the server was very rude to my daughter simply because she forgot to bring her cashapp card. So, my daughter comes to get me and tell me how rude she was being and I walked in with her to see who the person was and to purchase her food for her. As we were standing there waiting, the server noticed me with my daughter and goes into the back and brings some old man out, who I'm assuming is the owner or whatever, and he stood there staring and watching me and my daughter until we paid and left. There was absolutely no hostility or anything being said when we went in, we simply stood there waiting to purchase her food. There was no reason to have been treated that way, especially as often as we come there for the burgers. Multiple times per week. I honestly felt singled out and embarrassed at how we were treated, especially being the only black people in there. I was always hesitant about the place for these reasons, but when we moved on this side of Cburg, we gave them a try. This validated every reservation I had about them. The only reason I gave 2 stars was because the new server that the previous one had to replace her was very sweet. It's a shame to still be treated this way. Will definitely spread the word and will not recommend. But to top it off, y'alls food sucks and is not no country cooking. I can promise you that. Rule of thumb for Country Kitchen, you never know what type of people you will encounter or what they're going through. We just lost my mother and my daughter is a high functioning autistic. Mistakes and accidents happen. If you don't have the patience to handle such small situations, you're in the wrong line of work. I'm sure others have come in with worse problems other than forgetting a dang debit card.

The chicken was cold and been reheated several times. The chunks of pork with BBQ poured over it was not good. The meatballs cold tasted reheated. Mac and cheese no taste. After attempting to eat we left just as hungry when we arrived. Not worth going to. Food poisoning waiting to happen. Never return. Definitely not real country cooking.
The absolute worst food on the planet an I am not kidding the worst taste I have ever experienced garbage don't waste your money I know for a fact I will not stop hear again I have felt sick ever since we tried to eat lunch today I can not believe thy have any return customs awfully absolute the worst food I would not feed this crap to my dog
Not really at all satisfied with the food the piece of chicken that my wife got was unmistakably a piece of banquet chicken, you can definitely tell that most of the food served there is not cooked there, maybe reheated at best. The overall staffing atmosphere was very welcoming and very warm but would not recommend it for the food
Total price for four people with a tip $65 we all had buffet based on an experience about 4 years ago. Times have changed and so has the quality of this place. Crazy fried chicken chunks of pork and meatballs for protein, mac & cheese, canned green beans, brown or black beats and yams poured right from the can into the buffet macaroni salad and potato salad seems to be filled with sugar. Basic salad very sparse. The place could use a spiffy up, but the server was nice. Thankfully, we were not in Christiansburg very often, but when we are, we will not be tempted by this place again.
The best home-style breakfast buffet nearby.
