I bought a pound of the brisket to go and what I got was very very dry. To the point I couldn't even eat it. It's sad I was really looking forward to some good tender and moist brisket and what I got was dry and disappointing

Best mac and cheese we’ve ever had, hands down. We had a mix of everything: pork, chicken, and brisket as well as all of the sauces. Can’t go wrong with anything you get.

We ordered takeout so I can’t speak to the service or atmosphere but the sides were not good. Inedible actually. Pork and Brisket were tender and tasted good but the sauces were pretty icky. Sorry. Welcome to the neighborhood.?

Great local place for quality BBQ. Brooks the owner is really on his game with how juicy the brisket and chicken were. Loved the spicy beans too. Mac n cheese was a very classic home made style.

Delicious Brisket! We got a pound of brisket and two sides to go. The brisket was tender and flavorful. I recommend slicing every bite to include some of the wonderfully salty rub. The Macaroni & Cheese had at least two white cheeses (I'm guessing white cheddar and parmesan) for an interesting and unique twist on this classic comfort food. The baked beans were also different in a great way - some spicy heat (guessing black and cayenne pepper) with vinegar and sweet tones underneath... not too hot and a welcome variation from uber-sugary canned options. This was our only visit so far and we'll be back for pulled pork. My crystal ball shows big spreads from New River BBQ delighting hungry football fans at tailgates and house parties as well. Close to I81 too - an excellent choice for travelers who are tired of the chain places. Supporting local restaurants is a great way to bring variety to your taste buds and the gastronomical world in general. New River BBQ is a home run for sure.

This places looks really new and unassuming, but let me tell you it’s the best brisket I have ever had in my life. I’m going to be thinking about it for a long time ?. We got the beef brisket and chicken for our two meat plate with beans and potato salad as our sides. Usually I don’t like chicken bbq bc it’s dry but this one was tender flavorful AF. Sorry, I didn’t get pictures because I ate it so fast lol. The beans were smokey and black pepper forward which I enjoyed a lot. Potato salad is on the mustardy side which isn’t my fav but it paired well with everything else bc it was punchy. They have a good selection of sauces too, vinegary, sweet, and spicy regular bottles. Will be coming back if I ever pass thru this area again.

Meeting spot to catch up with old friends and fill our bellies. We each ordered the 2 meat special with Mac and cheese. The different barbeque sauces were a fun addition to our smoky selections. The guys running the place were quick to serve and friendly. Nice and clean to boot!
