Absolutely the best donuts I have ever had. The ladies that work here are so sweet and kind as well. Definitely don't leave without trying one of their original glazed donuts. They are out of this world.

Just had Route 8’s sandwich for the first time & it was heavenly! This is only half - it is huge! Well worth the money. Service is always great & everyone there is so kind. Highly recommend checking out their lunch & also throw in a donut as a sweet treat!

Well. The shop itself is nothing to write home about but it’s got tons of room and clean. Can’t beat that. And really. The donuts are the star of the show.
I got three much needed donuts on a Tuesday morning. Raspberry filled (come powdered if glazed, which is awesome to offer), I got powdered. Key Lime Filled and a blueberry donut (only cake donut option). I prefer cake so it was nice that they even had a cake donut option when everything else was a yeast donut.
I thought they were all good! Ate the raspberry in the car on the way home. Blueberry was a little dry but in a good way. Only mention it because I scarfed the whole thing and wished I’d had a cup of milk. I would get it again. Key lime was light so that was nice and the yeast donut was hearty but not too much. I like a little donut in my donut. I’d definitely recommend. Sorry. Ate the raspberry before I could take a pic, but it’s right there in the other display case pic. Bottom left donuts!
Oh!!! And the prices were fantastic, which is rare these days.

This place is AMAZING. My grandmother and I were making our way to NC and veered off to get food. We almost passed by this gem but luckily saw their sign that said they now serve sandwiches! And LET ME TELL YOU : These sandwiches were PERFECT. The bread was SO soft and the sandwiches were filled to almost overflowing. We also grabbed some donuts on the way out (again… delicious). Another important thing to mention is the attentive customer service. Good customer service is so hard to find these days. But everyone there went above and beyond, offered smiles and greetings and even asked us about ourselves and where we were traveling. I wish this place was driving distance to my house. Then again, maybe it’s for the best…. I’d end up spending my entire paycheck here 😅. Highly recommend!
The donuts are fantastic. They’re fresh, lot of choices and they’re large nice size. When other places thru the years have cut the size in half and charged more, Rt 8 are the size you don’t mind paying for. The prices are great. Sandwiches are made to order and huge. The BLT’s are great and the club is on a big homemade hoagie style bread. The place is spotless, fast courteous friendly service. Huge Cinnamon rolls ! Good coffee !

For those who remember the previous version of donuts the new ones are more like the dunkin variety, more on the hearty side. Service is stellar. Prices are fair

Today was our first visit to Route 8 Donuts. We took our grandchildren as a fun way to start our day-long celebration of our granddaughter's 12th birthday. The shop was clean and pleasant. The owners and employees were friendly and kind. The donuts were delicious. We are excited to be moving to the area and within driving distance of a wonderful donut shop that we can frequent.

The sandwiches that they have recently started making are terrific! They are fresh, decent sized, and won't leave you hungry. Show below is the Club and the Caroline, each one didn't disappoint. As for the donuts, they are awesome as you'd expect. Try the Key Lime one if you're looking for a nice change!
Very good food, helpful, attentive staff. Recommend.
Back when I lived in Christiansburg, my family would get donuts from Route 8 every Saturday as a family tradition. The donuts were always top notch and I always looked forward to every holiday when there were themed donuts. We loved them so much that we even bought Route 8 Donut hoodies. We don’t live in Christiansburg anymore, and although we still have donuts every Saturday, I still think about Route 8 every time. I also continue to wear the hoodie frequently. I plan on coming back some Saturday and getting those delicious donuts again. Wonderful place, wonderful people, and wonderful donuts. Thank you Route 8 and I hope to order some donuts from you again soon

Keepin' this simple-
Rt. 8 Donuts: fresh, flour, sugar, and local
Dunkin: stale, cake mix, and corporate
Which do you think is better?
Mennonite Donuts.
I asked for something they were out of and instead of telling me they didn’t have it, they made it on the spot. The donuts are amazing, but customer service like that makes this place special.
Outstanding donuts.
The best anywhere.
Extremely nice people and service
Terrible. Tough rolls. Couldn't hardly chew and very expensive. 4 rolls $23.+
