Enjoyed another dining experience. Appreciate the many menu selections and delicious foods to explore and enjoy. Thanks!

It was very slow. We were there for over 3 hours and had to wait in between each course for quite a while. But the restaurant itself is a nice atmosphere, the food was good, the staff was courteous - but just too slow.

Upon arrival we were greeted and seated promptly. The dining areas are small rooms offering quiet and privacy. Our waiter was attentive and well versed regarding the menu options. Service excellent. Salads well prepared, nice selection of dressings. An appetizer of baked brie was delicious and enough to share for our psarty of four. Salads well prepared, fresh and offered with a tasty variety of dressings. Entrees included rack of lamb and crab encrusted grouper. All thoroughly enjoyed. Other entrees on the menu invited another visit. A fine wine accompanied dinner. Overall a very delightful erxperience.

We booked a reservation thru Open Table and responded to the update inquiry that we were still planning to arrive at 6. Upon our arrival, the restaurant was dark. We called the phone number and the owner said there was a gas line problem and they would not be open that night. We had to scramble to find another non-chain restaurant for dinner. You would think a phone call could have been made to OT and an update sent to us. We won't be back.

The name is appropriate, in the middle of town perched at the peak of a fairly high hill , driveway would be tricky in the snow so they close a bit in the winter. Its in a large classic Victorian home, tables are well spaced so that the noise level is low, the service was very prompt , friendly and polite. The dishes we had were very good, particularly for the price.

Wonderful food and very good service. We always have an overall exceptionally nice dining experience.

The foundation of the historic home is a nice start. Some of the internal design and decor leave something to be desired. The food on average with our group was fine. A couple of people ate very little of their dish, but they did all get the same thing. The clams and pasta. Disappointing to find that they didn't have any liquor or cocktail drinks available. Server was very nice and professional.

The food is always amazing!!! The service however didn't match the ambiance. Only one server could serve alcohol, kitchen was backed up and slow. waitress didn't understand menu. But the food is always amazing.

The restaurant is located in a Victorian home, which requires onging maintenance, which was sadly lacking. The furniture felt like it was from the original owners! The food as just okay, with some of the offerings well below par! Our server was very efficient, and charming which is only complementary thing we could say!

Good food, parking is awful and the restaurant is not wheelchair accessible. We sat outside on the porch which was nice.

The food was fantastic. Great menu selections excellently prepared. My problem was with the service. While our waiter was very attentive, service was ridiculously slow. I enjoy a leisurely dinner, but 20 minutes to get wine? Forty minutes to get bread and a salad? Plan on at least two hours for dinner, more if you opt for dessert, which we did not. Not that they were overly busy, there were only eight of us in the entire restaurant. While a beautiful setting, the ambience was less than great due to several young children running up and down the main hallway shouting. Since none of the diners came in with children I assume they were related to the staff. While it was a great meal, I would never eat here again and can't recommend.

Excellent menu and service. High quality food. I am all for a leisurely dinner, but waiting 40 minutes for a first course salad seems over the top. Expect to spend at least 2 hours for dinner, longer if you opt for dessert. The ambience was somewhat destroyed by several young children running around and shouting. I assume they were with the staff since none of the diners came in with children. Not cool!

I never been to any restaurant like this one. It's very fancy dining so bring your best cloths. It perfect for dates, and any celebrations like anniversarys and so on. Matt was such a wonderful server. I recommend this place to everyone visiting or living in Virginia. Virginia is for lovers and this is the perfect place to show your love. Absolutely gorgeous and marvelous. The also have very good wine. The food is cooked perfectly. You must make reservations. I did not take pics of the food because of how expensive and classy the restraunt is. Beautiful mansion.

The food was excellent with a solid menu. Service was attentive but very slow. I enjoy a relaxed dining experience but waiting 40 minutes for bread and salad seems unnecessary. Plan on at least two hours for you dinner.

I went to Summit Restaurant with my family and a friend, and it honestly felt like the right choice from the moment we walked in. The atmosphere is calm, quiet, and welcoming — the kind of place where you can actually enjoy a meal and conversation without distractions. The food was flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care, which really set the tone for a great night.

What really made the experience stand out was our waiter, Matt. He carried himself with true professionalism but also had that genuine kindness that makes you feel looked after rather than just served. He was attentive without hovering, and his timing and approach made everything smooth and enjoyable. Service like that is rare these days, and it left a strong impression.

Summit has that combination of good food, a comfortable setting, and service that makes you want to come back again.
