Other than a confusing floor plan, the experience was a delight. The service was very good, and the food was great. Any place that can make plain grits an exceptional side is a gifted kitchen indeed.
Our first time and definitely not our last. The tables, nestled in a tiny room (at least ours was and saw others too) were so lovely and intimate. We drove 4 hours RT for dinner to visit our son, and it was so worthwhile. The food was delicious (we all had steaks, filet, sirloin, and ribeye; all were cooked perfectly to temp and well seasoned). Our apps of oyster Rockefeller and lollipop lamb chops were superb. Our server was attentive without going overboard. I was concerned...
The set up is more private than any restaurant I've been to. The booths are completely isolated from one another. Our server was attentive but not disruptive. The food quality was excellent and prices reasonable. Only select wines by the glass.
