What a great last-minute choice! We were greeted by a fabulous host who not only welcomed us warmly but also helped guide us through the rush when a crowd arrived all at once. Service never slipped — our waitress stayed friendly and fun even in the middle of the chaos.

The food was absolutely delicious. The Prime Rib came out perfectly prepared, paired with a hot baked potato loaded to the brim. Au Jus and horseradish rounded it out beautifully. Our other picks — the French Dip with a Caesar salad — were just as impressive. Old Bay Seasoned Peel and Eat Shimp were fresh and delicious. That house-made ranch deserves its own shoutout: it was so good I wanted a whole bowl of it. The fabulous host even made sure we had extra ranch and au jus for dipping those crispy, perfectly made French fries. All the staff are A++ good team all taking good care. Well done.

This was a real treat from start to finish. The only “downside” was slipping into a happy food coma afterward while sitting lakeside, waiting for the clearing sky. But when the stars finally came out in that rural quiet — it felt like dessert in its own right.

We absolutely LOVE Bridgewater! It is our favorite restaurant to go to, the menu always has such a great variety (although I typically stick with the Crab Cakes and my boyfriend typically gets the French Dip sandwich or the Reuben which is always filled with meat and so flavorful). The staff is always so friendly and inviting, the service is very quick and it is a nice cozy atmosphere, especially being near the river! We go here for everyone’s birthday (including mine yesterday), and always know we will have a good experience because they are ALWAYS consistent. We appreciate everyone there always making it such a great experience there, thank you!

Dinner service for 6 was great. All timed together, huge servings (should have shared the catfish dinner). Everyone was well pleased. Tater tot appetizer with toppings was big enough to share with all 6 plus leftovers. Always come back when we are in the area.

Within 30 minutes of South Boston, this is our favorite place to eat dinner without question. The atmosphere is always busy in summer due to close proximity to the lake. The food here is consistently excellent. We prefer the atmosphere of the bar vs the restaurant side- especially when the genX guy's driving the music. Can be cool in the bar at times. For food:
Fried chicken salad buffalo style with dressing on side- this is the finest rendition of this type salad I've ever eaten! All burgers here are stellar- my fav is Tank's Pimento. The meatloaf here is the best I've ever eaten outside of my wife's @ home. The prime rib here is also a top notch item. Deserts here are decent but in all fairness, if I've left room for desert and craving ice cream I hit The Cottage Barn for that! Key lime pie here is good though.

Been here several times and never fails to disappoint. Our waitress this time was Tiffany and she provided wonderful service to us while also bartending and waiting on other tables. She made sure the asparagus was cooked right and the ribeye was amazing. Also, everyone who works here is friendly and accommodating. Great atmosphere!

Amazing service. Always friendly and inviting. Ribeye cowboy style is the best in town. Try the dynamite shrimp you won’t be disappointed. Also I do have to admit, every time I go in I get the crab and corn chowder. Local beer on tap.
