Buggs Island Brewing Company

I stopped here for lunch and drinks with my dog after hiking at Occoneechee State Park. The back deck is dog friendly and has really great views of the lake and bridges. A great and relaxing spot to have a drink and enjoy the view. There is a window from the deck so you can order food and drinks with you canine companion. I had the Goat Island Nut Brown Ale, which was delicious. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area and try some of their other beers.

Very nice little place. The food was excellent and the service was good it was kinda selfsame outside, but we we're there with a group.
They have indoor and outdoor dining. It was friendly and had a nice atmosphere.

Great service and all beers are brewed on-site. Lots of outdoor seating overlooking the lake.

Waited for 3 hours for food only for them to say they couldn’t find our ticket or food. Got a gift card that we will never be able to use since we live 5 hours away

The food was good, but the service and atmosphere left a lot to be desired. You have to order your food from the bar, eat with plastic utensils, sort your trash and put your glasses in the dish washing bin. Straws were not available. They are not diabetic friendly.... no artificial sweetners were available. Staff was very loud... so loud they interrupted our conversation. We should have turned around and left when they said there's only 2 servers working. We will not be back and cannot recommend this restaurant.

Friendly service with good food and excellent beer. I’m afraid if I lived in the area I would have a chair with my name on it.

nice patio lakeside where we could sit with our dogs but had to order inside and got a beeper to pick up our food inside when ready (saved on tipping) - got catfish sandwich and catfish nuggets which were a bit salty, fries were really good, and got the soft pretzels with beer cheese which tasted more like beer than cheese

Wonderful view and great beer. Don't order food. Fries were so hard that chili cheese sauce didn't soften them up. Fried pickles were good until the bottom which was filled with oil. The Cuban had so much yellow mustard, which should have been Dijon, that every bite squirted out. Come here to drink and enjoy.
