There are limited options in Clarksville, but I think Great Wall is one of the best.

Parking: free street parking, plus a parking lot down the block if no street parking is available (rare)

Dining area: NO dine-in, service is takeout only. I think this probably started during Covid but I imagine they’ve kept it that way because it seems so much simpler to just do takeout. It seems like a husband/wife couple owns and runs the place, I would do take-out only too if I was profitable.

Bathrooms: No obvious public restroom

Food: I’ve ordered several things from here over the past year and it’s all been tasty, fresh, hot and good quality. Today I got veggie lo mein and egg drop soup. I love the veg lo mein because it’s full of fresh veggies. The egg drop soup was made fresh when I picked it up. Both items were great today. I’ve also had spring rolls, egg rolls, and king pao chicken here, all were great. Portions are generous. Also, if you like it spicy, ask for some of their chili oil. It’s ? ? ?

Service: The food is always ready really fast. Some reviewers have said the lady who runs the front of the restaurant is rude, I get the feeling it’s just a cultural/language difference. She speaks bluntly but is always polite (please/thank you/have a nice day). I think she manages things super well.

Pricing: This can be so subjective, but I feel like the food is a great value for the cost. For my soup and noodles it was just $12~ today.

Vegetarian options: Egg drop soup and veggie lo mein are great!

They advertise a buffet and there is none

Had the general zhao with fried rice, egg roll and orange chicken. Great size portions. The general zhao was the spiciest I’ve had and very good. The fried rice could use more flavor but adequate. Gf said Orange chicken and egg roll was very good. Prices reasonable for the portion we got.

The store is older and pickup only which is fine. The woman up front was a bit harsh but we’d go back as the food was well worth it.

Can't rate it other than 2 stars, because we went there for lunch, and they weren't open for dine in. Not sure if they're having help issues, or still worried about covid.

Does anyone know the store number to contact me?

If you can't dine in why even give them the business. I can't imagine they do that much takeout to justify staying in business so that tells me the quality of the food is compromised. If I can't come in and sit down and either look at the menu or what's on the buffet I have no interest in even trying you. Covid was a poor excuse to push away customers

This was my second time visiting this establishment. More than likely I will not be returning. The first time I visited the food was cooked and seasoned perfectly but the customer service was lacking, I thought it was a one off. I went back today and the food was not good and she can tell clearly this lady doesn’t care for black customers. She came across as cold and rude. Never again.

Virginia; Eat the Kids First.

Visited in January 2024. Their menu has been downsized and when asked if they planned to reopen the dining room AND the buffet; I was informed 'No'. So this is now a takeout restaurant ONLY.

I sorely miss Ken & Shirley (the former owners).
