Amazing authentic French bakery and bistro - off the beaten path in the town of Clifton. Worth the trip - and I highly recommend arriving at or near opening time because the fresh-from-the-oven handmade pastries - sweet and savory - are out of this world!

An authentic taste of Europe in a small Virginia town! The pastries were excellent and the atmosphere was unexpectedly classy. The food was interesting, though some of the ingredients were basic (pre-made crust for quiche, e.g). Tasty mixed green salads true to French cuisine accompanied our entrees. If you're wine tasting in the area, this was a great brunch / lunch accompaniment.

I love this place. It’s the real deal. Small yet quaint. Chic yet not pompous. Great food made fresh. Authentic French food with a real French chef. Service is lovely. Smiley and welcoming waiters and waitresses. A hidden gem!

Very good service, food, and ambiance (though pretty pricey). My husband and I were happy with our meal. He liked the ratatouille. The bourguignon was a little too sweet for me, but the meat was well-cooked. Also, the coffee is VERY good. Combine that with the atmosphere and it was like I was back in Italy.

One of the only places in the entire DMV serving croissants and pain au chocolat—including the almond variety—properly, in the true French style. The savory items are just as impressive, and the staff and atmosphere make it a genuinely lovely spot. A real gem.

I’ve been to Môtier probably 15 times since they opened and they consistently deliver on high quality products and you want tell they care about their customers. You always get a warm welcome when you arrive at the store. My favorite items are the almond croissant and breakfast croissants 🥐

I need to come back to dine in at some point!

Very delicious brunch in Clifton. The food is very fresh and the cooking is superb. Will be coming back for dinner. We sat outside on a nice day and it was a very enjoyable meal.

Highly recommend this simple and quaint cafe for a cozy meal with high quality ingredients and preparation. It’s like dining at your fancy aunt’s house. We purchased some items out of the pastry case (apple turnover, leek croissant, blueberry cream cheese croissant) and all were perfect in terms of texture and flavor. The entree items were all exceptional; full of flavor and prepared with precision. My only regret was that I came too early and would not be able to enjoy the lunch items such as coq au vin. I shall return :)

Just perfect...except they should put the tea from Paris in the tea pot before bringing to thectable especially fine loose tea or hrrbal as takes a long time to brew..

This is a cozy and warm place to have a coffee with a friend; it was a pleasant experience and our server was delightful and accommodating. Our latte was delicious and satisfying.
I will definitely be going back.
