I like the food but they need a new ventilation system. Your clothes smell after you leave. REVISED: FIXED! It has been a great experience recently. Improvements in ventilation noticeable!

Small casual spot next to the railroad tracks. They have a shop at the front and limited seating in the back. Great burgers and wraps as well as some entrees. They have always been very friendly. Nothing fancy, but good food and good service to make you leave with a smile.

This is easily one of my all-time favorite restaurants. Our family goes here all the time, and we are never disappointed. The atmosphere lets you step back in time. The floorboards creak, the ceilings are low, the walls are covered with old photos and artifacts a the staff is friendly and fun. The lighting is warm and cozy, and I could (and have) spend hours in there, perfectly content.
Their food is simple and delicious, and they have everything from a great beer selection to a lovely rotation of seasonal cocktails. They’ve even won awards for their cheeseburgers, and it’s not hard to see why. Everywhere else I go, theirs is the burger to beat.
There’s always a friendly buzz of activity that makes this an ideal place for families of all ages to have a fun and relaxing meal out.
The town of Clifton is wonderful as well, and this restaurant is perfectly situated if you want to let your kids burn off energy after they eat by playing on the old caboose across the way, or up the street at the playground.
That said, we’ve also been there with friends later at night, when the place gets more of a sports bar vibe, and that’s a lot of fun as well. They’ve got multiple TVs showing various games, and a cozy bar - even live music on some nights.
This is a quintessential small-town American restaurant, hidden in the middle of a bustling suburban area, and I always leave with my belly and my heart full.

As you can see from my past three reviews dating back to 2022 this is one of my local favorites for good quality local pub cuisine. I will summarize my two most recent visits here for dinner. When my family of four firstly arrived for dinner we were lucky to score a table outside to the left of the main restaurant because the weather here in August was very nice. I enjoyed my Rosemary old-fashioned with Buffalo Trace, angostura bitters, homemade rosemary simple syrup, Luxardo cherry and orange slice for $14. I also enjoyed my tuna tartare with ahi tuna rolled in an Asian infused sauce, stacked on diced avocado and served with egg roll wrappers for $19. I ended my dinner with my favorite pint of draft Guinness for $9.50. See my pics. My total bill was $154 excluding gratuity. Tegan O. served us very well. We returned here again for dinner with my family of five on Sunday. The place was not packed so we sat at a table 998 for five in the middle. I started with a Maker’s Mark Manhattan for $14 and ended my dinner with a draft Guinness for $9.50. I enjoyed my homemade chicken and sausage gumbo with a round mound of white rice sitting on top of the gumbo for $19. I love their seasonal gumbo, which I enjoyed a couple of times last Fall/Winter as well. My total bill was $205 excluding gratuity. Robert F. served us very well as usual. We will continue to return here for dinner, especially my favorite gumbo.
Located in a historic building, this small restaurant and general store has solid pub food, a good selection of local beer and great service. Tables are limited and the outdoor patio seating is nice in season.

Main Street Pub has a mini mart as you enter , the inside seating is ok, not very clean . We wanted to sit outside but there was a wait. Service was really good. The food was good too.

The Main Street Pub in Clifton, VA, stands out with its casual, classic Irish pub ambiance. It is set in a historic building with a general store and serves pub fare, including burgers and sandwiches, along with a breakfast menu on Saturdays and Sundays. The pub boasts a cozy interior and outdoor seating, creating a relaxed atmosphere further enhanced by attentive service, making it a favorite spot for locals and visitors.
After noticing its impressive ratings, we decided to stop by for breakfast, and it did not disappoint. The portions were generous and reasonably priced. The Breakfast Wrap was a standout, loaded with fresh ingredients, deliciously filling, and served with irresistible, bite-sized crispy tater tots. The Eggs Benedict was equally satisfying, featuring grilled ham, perfectly poached eggs, and hollandaise sauce on an English muffin.
