I want to thank circa 1892 for the beautiful job they did catering my event last week. The charcuterie boards were beautiful and delicious and the sandwich assortments were perfect and cut the way I asked. This is only our second visit to Colonial Beach, but we always go to Circa 1892 multiple times. Nice choices for fresh-made sandwiches and salads; cheeses and crackers and chocolate and other treats for a great picnic or just pigging out; and a broad and interesting wine selection. Oh, and they just started making their own focaccia: we've already had 2 of their new sandwiches on focaccia this trip, and will probably go back for more.
The staff is so friendly and welcoming. They have an excellent and varied selection of unique wines, beers, cheese, and cigars. I love the Paul Buisse Chinon. It’s a dry red with deep rich flavors and a smooth easy finish. The Hawthorn sandwich is my favorite. I also love how involved they are with the community. The food donation drive and the angel tree children’s gift donations warm my heart.

I really enjoyed the Pinot Noir and Zinfandel I got from here. The cheese was priced well and far from the best I’ve had, but it wasn’t terrible. I asked the girl that was training the new girl about the cheese and she couldn’t speak to it at all. Knew nothing about them. As for the tip at check out.. I would’ve left a tip if they knew anything about the cheese. She didn’t know the Gouda was a Gouda..I’ll be back to try this place again!
