Great food and excellent service. I'd eat there again. They have the best frog legs I've had in a very long time.

Wish we had checked reviews before going here. This was our 3rd visit here. I must say after today's experience we won't be back.We got the appetizer platter, the wings, cheese sticks and poppers were okay but the crab and shrimp dip was nasty. Cold and so thick made it hard to drag stale chips across this catastrophe. We also ordered a chicken quesadilla which was overcooked, semi burnt, and the steamed shrimp were dry and unappealing. Our meals. 2 sirloin steak dinners that were overcooked and had some strange tasting seasoning on them. The potato cakes sounded good but they had no taste and were overcooked and very dry. Salad was OK but was an additional charge.Fried flounder and fries were okay. One of us got a chicken dish along with the potato cakes and sweet potato fries. The chicken had a weird taste from the seasoning, was compared to someone just taking random seasonings and putting them together. The sweet potato fries were overcooked and so crunchy you could hear the crunching across the table.Kids Mac and cheese and hot dog were good as the kid downed it all but how can you mess that up?As for the service. Mediocre at best. While the waitress did answers our questions, she could have done better. Had to ask for refills, a tray was left at a table next to us where we were told we could put the dishes we were done with so the flies would go there and after we got the kids meal to go, we were told she would need to close the check out as she was supposed to be off at 4. And we waited a bit for the appetizers and was told to eat up as our food would be coming out right behind. The flies were awful!!!The only positive I can say about this place was the view. It is beautiful there, great location. Our kid enjoyed playing in the water and on the beach.I really think they could benefit with a visit from that show Bar Rescue.

Great ambiance and food. They have a wide variety of bands and some of them are truly excellent. The fun outdoor space in the sand is super fun, especially when they have a bonfire. Their indoor space is also great - very clean and with fun decor. I have ordered different food every time I've been here and I've enjoyed everything.

Very disappointing. The fried oysters were dark brown and grossly overcooked and the "steamed" broccoli was pretty much raw and cold. We had a very good server, but that's about the only good thing I can say.

Visited colonial beach for the first time and stayed at a hotel right down from high tides. A few locals recommended another “dockside” tiki bar but we figured since we were so close we would try High Tides. Immediately disappointed. Walked in the door and a child was running in and out of the kitchen taking an employees hat and running with it through the restaurant. We got seated outside and had about a 10 min wait before he came back to get our drink order. I ordered the fried oysters and my fiancé ordered a burger and we had the bacon cheese fries as an appetizer. I was brought fried scallops and asked that I have oysters. The waiter apologized and brought what I do not think could be called anything but greasy fried batter. There was so much grease that it soaked through all of our napkins at the table, and they were so over cooked that they just crumbled to dust when you tried to bite in to one. For the prices at High Tides it was definitely NOT worth it. Save your money and go to dockside instead!

We didn't get any food, we were there for an engagement party. The place was awesome! It's in a gorgeous location. Love the beach area bar with amazing drinks thar are fair priced, the lights, liver music, all around can't wait to be back. A must visit. Only downside is you have to pay for parking in that area.

Our first time in town, happened to be during Bike Fest. We wandered along the beach but decided on lunch at High Tides. After choosing a high top table, Rhonda our server made us feel comfortable with her soft demeanor. Ms. R ordered coconut shrimp with a side of asparagus. Dave ordered flounder and asparagus. The shrimp and the flounder were prepared excellent , moist inside light coating and crispy. The Yuengling beer was ice cold and her old fashion margarita was just right. If you come ask your waiter when the ghosts have been “seen” lately.

We are a party of 6 and a dog, since we cannot be seated inside{it's noon time and mid 80 degrees outside) we requested for a table on the shaded area outside, there were free tables under the sun, but one attendant said they can't provide us any umbrella, so we decided to wait and another lady gave us a pager, after more than 40 mins waiting, tables on shaded area are being freed up. 2 tables next to each other could have easily be set up for us, meanwhile other customers were sitting on the available tables. We went back to the attendant who gave us the pager and she said not to worry because they'll be asked to move , then they started setting up a table which is under the sun and moving one umbrella , when we asked about it, she said that's the table being set up for us, we complained to the manager but at the point everyone in our party were just hungry and frustrated we just decided to leave. We had an great weekend visit in Colonial Beach area, but this place left us with a terrible experience!!!

Run do not waste your money or time. We arrived for dinner on a tuesday around 6pm. We were sat at a dirty table. So we moved to the table beside that was at least wiped off. Ordered drinks which were OK. I ordered a salad with fruit and grilled chicken. My husband ordered a bacon cheese burger, fries and cream of crab soup. The salad greens were fresh the rest was canned and old. The "homemafe sweet tropical" dressing was horrible to say the least. My husband's dinner was the worst. Cream of crab soup was like slime you would buy for kids. Burger was burnt on the outside and cold and raw inside. We were going to return to this town for bike week but this place hosting it is disgusting. And when we left without eating but paid the bill that table we were first sat at 1 hour earlier still was dirty. The health inspector needs to go to this place. It was horrible and a shame to the people that actually care about this small beach town.

The only reason this place is still open is the view.Nobody greeted us, we were eventually just told to “sit wherever.” We sat outside.Probably 10 minutes later, someone noticed us and greeted us. He took drink orders from 2 of us, then walked away without asking the 3rd person what they wanted.Ordered 2 appetizers, they arrived with the entrees.Chicken Cordon Bleu bites were decent. The calamari was stone cold and served unseasoned, with unseasoned plain tomato sauce. A steak that had been ordered medium came out on the far side of well done, and the stuffed flounder had so much Old Bay dumped on top that it was way too salty to eat the top piece of fish. Same with the stuffed rockfish. We all ordered green beans, and they were dotted with bits of scorched/black garlic. Our total green bean count for the whole table was 22 beans. I got 9, my husband got 7, our daughter (an adult) got 6. We had to ask for water several times. I looked for a manager to speak with- couldn’t locate one.On the upside, the view is lovely, the bathroom had soap and TP (stall latches were broken though) and the Corona was fine.I’ve been in the restaurant business for 22 years as a GM, and I gotta say- I never kick up a fuss about a mistake, because I get it, but man. This experience really hit bottom and started to dig.All of that cost over $150.Skip it. Very disappointed.

Grabbed drinks late on a Saturday and people watched while listening to a 90s pop punk cover band. Enjoyed it particularly as there really aren't that many options in town. Didn't try the food.

Met a group here to have dinner and watch the super blue moon rise over the Potomac. The food was great, but portions are small. The sauted scallops included six scallops of varying sizes and were cooked with peppers and onions. They were excellent. The sweet potato wedges were a side option but could have been a dessert. They were deliciously sweet--almost like a French toast stick. Considering the small number of patrons on a Thursday evening, I would have expected more attentive service for a party of our size. Although we lingered after the meal, no effort was made to remove dishes or clear the table for after dinner drinks or dessert. I guess the server was satisfied with the automatic 18% gratuity for parties of 6 or more and didn't feel the need to work for anything. Their website also states that they charge a 3.9% processing fee if you pay with a credit card. The location is beautiful right on the river, and the view is wonderful. I would return again to see how a second visit goes.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp leading into the restaurant.

I was seated outside per my request. The table was dirty. I ordered the Caesar salad and cream of crab soup. The lettuce was wilted and the cream of crab soup was thick and clumpy with a pudding consistency . The flies were absolutely outrageous to the point I couldn’t enjoy sitting outside. I do not recommend.
