If you visit Colonial Beach, don’t miss this wonderful restaurant. It’s small so you have to have reservations but you will wonder how you didn’t find this wonderful restaurant long ago. It is fantastic! The service and food is fantastic!

Best dinning in Colonial Beach. Five star plus. Bule cheese buttery sauce was outstanding. I have traveled the world and never have had food so excellently prepared and taste was perfect. I had tried this place 6 years ago or more when it was called Seaside. I found it again while in the area under this new name. Unsure if it is the same management and chef, but it still has the Thai/French combo menu. I ordered the soft shell crabs again. The crabs were larger than expected and very tasty, but they were served with roasted potatoes and zucchini. This was the standard side with all of the entrees and didn't quite pair well my dish or many of the others listed. Last time the crabs were more of a Thai preparation which I loved. This wasn't that, but I was open. The dumpling appetizers were very good. Calamari okay. They only have beer and wine for adult drinks and no options for any other cocktails/"frilly" drinks, which was disappointing. I could come back.

We were really pleased to be able to get dinner to go, without a very long wait. The food was excellent. We got a variety of sushi plates and a rice dish. Excellent.

Yes, indeed. Colonial Beach has a winner with the unpretenious, high end Oomboon. We were intrigued enough to make a reservation and requested an outdoor table. The restaurant was accomodating. The house Pinot Noir ($6) was light and balanced, bargain. We started with sushi, remarkable in flavor and freshness. Seaweed salad, and a variety of uncomplicated rolls. Later, my dining partner enjoyed the Pad Cashew and I indulged in the soft crabs. Both were prepared and presented in a manner befitting an elegant restaurant. Couldn't be happier.
Four older women in our party. All of us ordered from the thai section. We ordered different dishes and all agreed it was some of the best thai we have eaten. We also ordered appetizers and wine. We had dumplings, spring rolls and chicken satay. All delicious. Prices are very reasonable and service was excellent even though it appeared they were short staffed as are many places due to covid. I can’t wait to go back and try other dishes on the menu.

The sushi here is great and the rolls are huge! Due to staffing shortage, the service was a bit slow, but regardless, we were well taken care of and accommodated.

We tried another Thai place first and it was like Thai fast food so after apatizers we left and found Oomboon. The food was excellent as good as the better Thai places in NOVA. I had a Tuna poke with fresh tuna decoratively served on hard crackers lots of delicious sprinkles. my wife had a scallop dish that was heavenly. highly reccomend.

My daughter and I went here for dinner the other night and we could not have been happier. The atmosphere is nice and the food is delicious. We had sushi and the cucumber spiral salad to start with, then had the sauteed Sea Bass and a cashew Thai chicken dish. Everything was extremely fresh and tasty, and the service was great. Both of us can't wait to get back.
