Shady Lane Seafood did not disappoint today. Down here camping, celebrating our 26th Anniversary. Half a bushel of #1 crabs seasoned to perfection and so meaty!! Thanks so much Shady Lane

This review is for shady lane seafood!
I have been purchasing crabs from shady lane seafood for many years and this year 2024 has been the worst crabs I have been getting from them!
Today November 2nd I saw 1/2 bushel medium crabs for $55. They were all very small and served in a bag not box.
All of the #2 crabs I have purchased this year have been very small!
I recommend not purchasing the #2s nor #3s!
I think #3s are females!

Lettuce on salad bar was brown and old! Had to keep asking for fresh food on buffet! Shrimp was over cooked, even the tea tasted old! $45 per person for horrible food! Trust me never ever come here!

Wish I could give -1 star. Was told to call back 3 different times just to call back this morning around 10 something and be told “call back at 12” cool. Not a problem. Call back at 12 and was told “we’re sold out for today” and got hung up on before I could say anything else … then my husband calls back and sees what’s going on and she gives him a full breakdown of a story saying that they have to fulfill orders from the week prior and that the batch they had us call back for was sold out because it was “just enough to fulfill the last couple of orders from the week prior” I don’t know i usually come here with family all the time but this ? Weird.

Edit- was able to call around and Roy’s Seafood LLC was able to help in no time. Thank you for not having crabs today. Because Roy’s are taking better care of us and will be from now on.

Staff is phenomenal, and the seafood is too!!

BUYER BEWARE!!! I called and reserved 12 lb of crab legs. The owner gave me the price, he told me that he would have to weigh them but the price shouldn't be that far off. I went to pick up them up and it was almost $50.00 extra. If I were not having a gathering, I would have left them right there. They gave me 4 small bags of "3 lbs" crab legs. If all of the bags were 3lbs equally, then why did each bag have a different price. The girl told me they try to get to "roughly" 3 lbs. This is absolutely ridiculous. One price was $56, another $59, another $50, and $53. The Xtra seasoning was a small bag bag that could fit in the palm.of my hand. I wish I could post pictures of the bags but it doesn't seem to show you. The name fits them well Shady !!!

Bought 18 "large" crabs. There were maybe 2 large ones. Mostly medium at best. Tasted good though.

I ordered a half bushel of #1 crabs I got a half bushel of maybe #2 crabs and crab legs must have been the last of the crabs they had no more than 5" and very light #1 should be at least 5and a half and up and fat

Ordered 2 bushel # 1 crabs and couldn’t believe how many 5 inch crabs I got. They were pre cooked because they were dry and shribbley. I would never buy crabs here again and would not recommend this place
