The sandwiches were out very quickly once ordered and they hit the spot. Both were tasty. The chips are a bag of Wise potato chips, not very fancy. The coconut cream pie is worth trying, very creamy and delicious.
What a true gem this boutique restaurant is! While staying nearby, we decided to explore the local countryside and, after a glorious drive, ended up in Covington at lunchtime. We walked around, stopped in a couple of charming shops, and checked TripAdvisor for nearby restaurants. And that is how we happened upon the James Burke Eatery! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our sandwiches! Our freshly brewed and chilled ice teas hit the spot. And our server - I believe her name is...
We enjoyed our Hattie and James Burke lunch sandwiches; each came with a bag of potato chips on the side. Missed out on the Pecan chocolate chip pie due to time. Friendly service. Parking in rear.
