Ray's Sweet Shoppe and Poutinerie

We recently celebrated my grandpa's 75th birthday here, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. First and foremost, the food was delicious. Every dish was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. We tried a variety of items from the menu, and each one was a winner. But what truly made the experience special was the incredible staff. Their friendliness and attentiveness were second to none. They went above and beyond to make my grandpa feel welcome and celebrated, even bringing out a small treat for him. It's clear that the restaurant values creating a positive and memorable dining experience, and I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. We can't wait to return!

Amazing place to eat in Covington. I'd ask for less gravy on the poutine. Delicious ice cream choices and toppings for sundaes. Or you can stop in for the shopping.

My son and I stopped in over the weekend to try out this place on Main St. Walked in you feel like you are rolling back in time to the 50's. The bar stools, ice cream, Root Beer floats, red checkers pattern/decor- but the wow factor was the Poutine burger and fries!! We both took a bite and at the same time said "omg" that's is delicious! That's alot coming from a 12 yr old! 12/10 the best burger we have had in a very long time. The staff, also 10/10! Thanks for the experience and great customer service. We will be back, Ole the RootBeer float was delicious also!

i really appreciate that the lady, i think she was the owner? we were wondering what an "egg cream" was ...she was so kind to make one and share it with us all (4 of us visiting our friends are locals) not what you think, please try it. delicious! i loved the cinnamon ice cream from Tillamook. so so so yummy good!! i love the atmosphere ...so many goodies to buy and check out. great for yourself or giftable. such kind staff, helpful and sweet.

The food was ok. The service was amazing. We tried it for the first time and it was very expensive. Next time we go we would like to try different things. I do have to say the buffalo wings was definitely amazing.

everything we ordered was great

Ordered on doordash and absolutely loved it!! Will have to make a trip to the store aswell and see their knickknacks! If you’re in Covington definitely stop and give them a try!!!

The Gouda cheese bites. I’m drooling just typing this. The food was fast and hot! Our server was absolutely great. I wish I had got his name. He made plenty of suggestions for us and was on top of everything! We had the “oh Canada” for an app along with the cheese bites and it was good! For our meal we had sandwiches on croissants! Of course we had to get a malt. Literally the best little place. Such a cute theme too! They have plenty to look at as well! 100% will recommend to anyone and everyone! I will be back.

Great little hidden gem in Covington. Oldies diner feel. Great food. I had the 1/4lb cheeseburger and it was fantastic, all veggies were fresh, and the onion rings were perfectly crisp and not soggy.
Heard good things about the ice cream, but was too full to find out, will definitely try that next time we're in the area.
Also has candy, toys, and gifts around the store. A great place to bring the kids.
We'll be back for sure.

I was a little disappointed with my meal. I got the Pork BBQ poutine, and it was just okay (bordering on bad). It made the fries turn to mush fairly quickly, and the "pork burnt ends" just looked and tasted like cut up hotdog.

I might just not be a fan of the combination of gravy and fries, and will be back to try other things (especially their ice cream and cheesecake), but this first visit was a let down.

The service was good, and I really like the theme they have. If I find other food I like there I will definitely up my rating.

That praline/butter pecan/old fashioned vanilla shake I just had was the greatest thing to ever touch my tastebuds. It was like a dream. I could cry. I should’ve got 2. Be back soon!
