If you haven’t been to Tropical Spice LLC, you are absolutely missing out. This place isn’t just good…it’s life‑changing. The collards alone deserve their own fan club. Perfectly seasoned, tender, and bursting with flavor, they taste like somebody’s grandma and a Michelin‑star chef teamed up in the kitchen.
And the jerk chicken? Listen. It’s the kind of dish that makes you close your eyes, hum a little, and seriously consider ordering a second plate before you’re even halfway through the first. Smoky, spicy, juicy, every bite is a whole experience.

I ordered Rasta Pasta and Jerk Chicken breast for my family gathering ahead of time. It was nothing short of amazing!! Friendly people, very good communication, order was hot and ready on time. So delicious! Will definitely do it again.

If you’ve never tried Jamaican food or just don’t feel interested, ‘expand ya’ pallet’ anyway and trust the GOOD reviews you see on here. This place truly brought a spark to our little town that is overpopulated with Italian restaurants. This is literally the only place that I want to eat if I eat out.
The food is beyond good.. it is perfect. Jerk chicken and curry with cabbage has me in a clutch. Perfectly tender and seasoned beyond perfection. That Rasta pasta... hates to see me coming! lol
Family owned restaurant also just gives it that home-cooked touch. I am beyond proud of this family. It’s worth the wait!!
To anyone that is new to the area, give this place a shot. (Especially on a Sunday!) The Sunday buffet is great because you can get a little bit of everything.

What a hidden gem in Covington, VA. Everything was authentic and tasted very good. We ate so much I and I wanted more. We got the boneless jerk chicken and curry chicken and we got the jerk chicken tacos. Huge portions for everything. We will be back! 5 stars

Portions do not disappoint. Flavors are well-balanced. Execution is undeniable. This isn’t your fast food restaurant, this is close to perfection you’re going to see out of a family owned restaurant. Do not let the negative reviews deter you from this food. Sunday Buffet 11:30-3:00 is the best way to try most entrees and flavors. Highly recommended! The locals will tell you this is a must try!
