Three stars for the scenery and the staff but the beverages are undrinkable. Three stars is kind. Four full pints and a taster of the rest. Seek shelter was the most drinkable in that it was palatable, but the rest resembled the aroma of a discarded Gatorade bottle of dip spit. Long cut, baby.
Amazing amazing time, staff and tour! Dave and Cheryl make you feel at home where you leave as friends! If I could give Belmont more than 5 stars, I'd give them 10. This is a must see in Virginia!
We had a great time learning about the genuine solid copper kettle that the whiskey is made in. They make small batches which adds to the quality of their products. Cheryl and Dave were great to talk with. It was a great experience and the whiskey was very smooth going down.
Excellent alcohol, tour and distillery! My favorite is Virginia Lightning Peach. It's delicious by itself or if you're looking for a refreshing cocktail add two shots to unsweetened ice tea with fresh squeezed lemons. A perfect summer drink.
Belmont Farms Distillery was a good side trip for a fall Saturday afternoon. Nestled on a large farm owned by Chuck Miller. The farm had a small gift shop where you could sample the moonshine and Bourbon they produce. They also produce Gin, Rum, and some of Tom Smiths Climax moonshine. The tour of the small operation is every half hour and free of charge. Chuck Miller has the first legal pot still in the United States and boy is it old. Nice vibes from the employees and they were willing to answer all the questions.
I have to say that I was treated as if I was right at home at Belmont Farms today. From the amazing tour to the great recommendations at the bar, as well as the fundraiser food and live music. I was pleasantly surprised by The four year old whisky. I would have loved to have tried JT's rye , but they were out and a new batch hasn't been commissioned by JT. It would have been cool to meet Chuck , but next time hopefully. Thanks for all the hospitality, from Texas.

Very friendly and professional service. Forgot to include 18 bottles of Apple Pie Moonshine purchased to restock personal stash.
My girlfriend and I had a great time here on Saturday.. we really enjoyed the bourbon, gin, whiskey and moonshine flights.. we bought a couple bottles to take home and they were such great prices.. we then stopped over to the beer tavern side and had a really great time trying their different beers on tap and chatting with the bartenders they were so personable and really made us feel comfortable.. Big Wills food is absolutely amazing you have to try his chili beer cheese dogs, Mac n Cheese, Cole Slaw and The hush puppies were the best I've ever had in my life.. it's a gorgeous property very beautiful especially in the springtime and there's plenty of seating and we'll have to come back when they have some bands performing..
We had a great visit! We enjoyed learning about the history of the still and distilling in the area as well as the efforts to maintain the tradition of distilling. The whiskey and bourbons were great to taste. Cheryl was a fantastic host. I highly recommend this as a stop!
Did a tasting in FFX County ABC. Not a big whiskey fan but the Apple Whiskey is really good. Should come down for a tour, try the others in an official tasting. Their rep was also very nice and gave some cool vackstory and info about the company and products they had.
My wife and I had a great time here. We met Cheryl who took us on a quick tour and talked about the farm, distillery, Tim and the Moonshiners show. We almost got to meet Chuck but he was very busy with a bourbon run. Definitely planning a return trip in the future. Highly recommended.
