Best country ham in Virginia! Whole/half hams are wonderful, his method of curing is most like my grandparents used to make. The sliced country ham from the store counter is perfect for ham biscuits if you don’t need a whole ham. We always buy it by the pound, sliced into those paper thin slices that are perfect for biscuits. It may be more expensive but it’s worth every penny, no waste at all! I’m not sure who raises the pigs but they are top notch too, very little fat!...
For many years our family has always celebrated Christmas dinner with a salt-cured ham from Calhoun’s. It’s been a family tradition since the 1980s and on. We’re thankful to be part of the Calhoun legacy and highly recommend their delicious hams to anyone.

There's not a lot in the store, but obviously the focus is the ham. They have some premade, wrapped ham biscuits. We got a couple to go. I was pleasantly surprised. I've heard about how the country ham can be overly salty. This was a nice, little sandwich. They slice the ham...
