While we were in Culpepper visiting from Fredericksburg, we stumbled across this amazing gem! My boyfriend and I looooove cheese and just had to go in. We were immediately greeted with smiles and samples of a cheese the owner was cutting for a patron. I forgot what cheese he handed us to try but it was delicious! We were eyeing the brownies and then also handed a sample to try. They had so many amazing options, meats, and quiche. They even had a cute seating area tucked in the back for you to sit down and enjoy food and beverages. We ended up walking away buying half a Brie and a brownie.
We just finished half of our Brie at home and it was honestly so good. We will absolutely be back to try some more of their cheesy goodness.
Went in for a hard to find, specialty cheese & they A)had it & B)were all polite. Three different staffers I worked with and/or made eye contact with and they all were smiles & helpful. Will be returning to try the restaurant eventually.

Wound up walking out with a lot more than I thought I would just because everything was so tempting.

Visited this morning for the first time. It was a fantastic experience. The staff were helpful, friendly, and most importantly knowledgeable. We made three selections. Two were guided (I was looking for an aged Cheddar with crystals) and one impulse buy. All were excellent. This is not the cheese store for your average American cheese consumer, but the perfect place for those with more experienced palates. We will be back!

My husband and I are ‘touring Virginia’ (we live in Western NC) and enjoy historical areas… this shop could not have any better! From the husband & wife, who own/run it and greeted us upon entry to guiding us where to find things we were interested in … with a glass of wine, some cheese, and crackers… Sitting on the back deck was a pleasure as we ate/drank our mid-day snack. My husband and I highly recommend it 😊.
