Shrimp was rubbery & overcooked, never received silverware or a straw for my drink. Very slow in making cocktails, had to ask for water twice. Ordered a Sauvignon Blanc and they gave us a red wine. Had nine different servers the whole night? Wouldn’t recommend to anyone

Grill 309 is a great local bar and grill. We’ve been coming here for the past two years and I’ve noticed a definite upward trend, especially in the service sector. It seems like there are more servers, they are better trained and they seem to really enjoy working there, at least they smile! Five Stars!! Food is good but I haven’t found anything great. Still, good is good. There is a nice, “everybody knows your name” vibe, great beer selection on tap and, the few times I’ve had a cocktail, they were memorable.

First and last time visiting here, we will not be going back. Food was comparable to Five Guys at best and that is me being gracious... My boyfriend & I ordered three meals: poutine, a bbq burger with fries, and the double grilled cheese burger with chips. I wish I had a picture of the poutine because it was laughable. The fries were overcooked, canned brown gravy was scooped on top in globs, and what we presumed to be a chopped up string cheese stick was placed on top. For the bbq burger, it was so incredibly greasy with the bun being so mushy, I couldn’t stomach it and stopped eating it altogether. For the grilled cheese sandwich, the grilled cheese was not cooked throughly, so half of the cheese wasn’t melted and the burger itself was lukewarm. The fries were either overcooked or soaked with grease, we couldn’t eat them. Drinks were okay - we ordered two Bold Rocks. Bottles were cold, but the alcohol itself wasn’t that cold. The waitress was sweet & tried to keep up with the amount of tables she had outside, but the food was honestly disappointing and ruined the entire experience.

Save your money and go somewhere else. After a long day at the loss of a family member we went out for a drink and a quick bite to eat. The service was horrible. We got our food and asked about the drinks we ordered and were told they were being made. We finished our food and 20 minutes later there were still no drinks. We did complain,something I never do and was told sorry. The place was empty!!!! The drinks were NOT worth the wait and the food was just ok.
This was a cozy, friendly, & delicious spot for our family. We had tried a few places before popping into this lovely place and none of the other restaurants could safely accommodate our food allergies. This restaurant made us feel welcome, safe, well taken care of, and gave us a tasty meal and kind service-all in a fun atmosphere. We will definitely be returning! We are very grateful for the safe & delicious meal, especially on a crowded night! Thank you so much!! ❤️

Confirmed, this is our favorite restaurant in Culpeper! Food is incredible! I got mahi tacos and wife got shrimp tacos. They were cooked perfectly and the favor was great. Server was polite and quick to provide anything needed. Thanks Grill 309 for being awesome!
