Our AirBnB host recommended Grill 309 during our stay near Culpeper. We loved it so much that we came twice- once for dinner, once for breakfast. We both enjoyed our dinners- I had a yummy fried chicken sandwich on a pretzel bun, while my husband enjoyed his "Greek Burger" which featured a layer of gyro meat (what's so wrong about topping meat with meat?). Anyway, he loved it even if his arteries did not. We returned a few days later for brunch. Honestly, my Greek Omelet was one of the best omelets I've had. I'm not a big egg eater, so often leave a portion of my omelet uneaten. Not so here. The egg was closer to a crepe, and it was filled to perfection. My spicy Bloody Mary was the perfect accompaniment. My husband felt the same about his Western Omelet.... and his pineapple Mimosa. And the best part? We were able to bring our Border Collie to the brunch with us. It was just warm enough to sit on their patio. They brought him water and lots of love. Needless to say, if we are near Culpeper in the future, this will be the first place we go.

Amazing drinks! I had the pineapple jalapeno margarita and it tasted just like biting into a fresh jalapeno without the heat. Flavor was spot on! The beer cheese chicken sandwich was amazing. The pretzel bun was toasted dark with butter and the bacon was thick and crispy. The service was phenomenal. Addison was exceptional and took great care of us. Cannot sing enough praise for this establishment. 5 stars all around!

I intended to get takeout. I went in to see a menu and stood there for 10 minutes and nobody acknowledged me. 2 waitresses and the bartender all walked past me MULTIPLE times and made eye contact. I've worked in customer service, and generally a GOOD service representative smiles and says "we'll be with you in a minute" or something similar. Instead, when I made eye contact and smiled, the waitresses just glared at me and turned their back. And it was clearly intentional because as I said it was MULTIPLE times over 10 minutes at least. Eventually I just left, I'm not paying my hard-earned money to be on the receiving end of those nasty attitudes.

Driving home from Charlottesville, we found this gem...just a slight detour and totally worth it. Food was delicious with lots of options for 3 diverse eaters including a picky teen. Server Chris was amazing with excellent recommendations. We will come back and will definitely get the fried PB and J!

Ive been to Grill 309 six times in the past few years. Eating here is literally a requirement when im in the area. The service and food is consistently great. The best beer cheese ive ever had and unique dish combinations that work so well. The prices have stayed reasonable for quality food.
Holy batter! The fried items had so much batter, it was hard to find where the batter ended and the chicken/fish/onion began. Burger was good though.

Amazing food. In my opinion, there is no better grill anywhere. NYC, LA, Boston... No place better. Food was perfect, staff friendly. Experience actually worth praising.

Love Grill 309!!!!!!Vegetarian options: N/AKid-friendliness: Great child items!
We went here on a Sunday night, mainly because there's not many options that are open at this time. It was busy. You seat yourself (there's no signs that indicate that). The staff was friendly and they seem to all tag team the service. The food however is average at best. The prices are crazy for what you get. $16 for "The Philly" that looks like it's on a hotdog bun with a sprinkling of meat. Just call it something else. It is nothing even close to a Philly Cheesesteak and crazy to cost $16. The Gyro Burger was pretty good. The bun fell apart and the burger was overcooked but overall, it tasted good. This place is lucky to have the staff they have. If it wasn't for them, it would have been much worse.
