Mountain Run Winery

First, the positive…a very nice casual setting with farmland and such. Staff was nice. I went to an event here a few months ago and it was great. The beer, however, was not good. It had various off flavors. I tried a red ale and an IPA. Did not try the wine. Definitely the brewing process could use some attention.

So accommodating we came to take a family photo and the owners did everything in their power to make it an easy process for us they offered us commentary snacks and helped us in every way ! 10/10 would recommend for any events!

Lovely little place.

Very cool and rustic location. Perfect place to bring your dog, kids and picnic blanket. Wine is outstanding, especially love the oak Chardonnay (not too oaky) and the vigonier.

We had such an amazing time here! Our tasting was led by Jenny and she was very knowledgeable and kind. The Viognier was so delicious (though all the wines were great!). I definitely recommend coming here for a flight!

Great winery with even a couple beers. There is a playground for those with kids and an adults only area. Staff was super friendly. They even mail my credit card to me after leaving it behind.

Beautiful grounds to have a picnic. The barn has indoor seating, or you can enjoy the outdoors on one of the picnic tables. Get the wine from the establishment and bring your own food and non-alcoholic beverages.

It is a very entertaining place. I would recommend anyone to go

I was on a weekend wine adventure last week. This place popped up on my radar. Did a four-pour tasting. Very good. You don't see Shiraz in Virginia very often, and theirs is very good. They also offer elderberry wine. I bought three different bottles, I was so impressed. Staff is delightful and the owner very personable. She took the time to speak with me at length. Go here. They happened to be hosting some kind of medieval armed combat event when we were there. Very cool.

We had our son’s rehearsal party here Friday night and it was wonderful. David and his Dad were great to work with. We had plenty of room in the Stable for 40 people. Even though it was cool, with the heaters we were comfortable and it was a perfect fall evening. It’s a great choice for an event. Several of our guests purchased bottles of wine to take home.

This was my first time visiting the winery, but was incredibly impressed. The wonderful staff members at the bar were very nice and helpful. The comfy sectional couches were great to sit in and take in the views while drinking some wine. Everything was great.

But what stood out to me was that I couldn’t find my credit card and the owner took the time to search for it. He found it and allowed me stop in hours before the winery opened the next day as I was moving on to my next stop. I sincerely appreciated all of this! I will be back again!
