Beautiful grounds to have a picnic. The barn has indoor seating, or you can enjoy the outdoors on one of the picnic tables. Get the wine from the establishment and bring your own food and non-alcoholic beverages.
I was on a weekend wine adventure last week. This place popped up on my radar. Did a four-pour tasting. Very good. You don't see Shiraz in Virginia very often, and theirs is very good. They also offer elderberry wine. I bought three different bottles, I was so impressed. Staff is delightful and the owner very personable. She took the time to speak with me at length. Go here. They happened to be hosting some kind of medieval armed combat event when we were there. ...
We had our son’s rehearsal party here Friday night and it was wonderful. David and his Dad were great to work with. We had plenty of room in the Stable for 40 people. Even though it was cool, with the heaters we were comfortable and it was a perfect fall evening. It’s a great choice for an event. Several of our guests purchased bottles of wine to take home.
