Trying to bring back some nostalgia, there are lots of timey-like items for sale. Things like grits mix and rolled oats. Most patrons were in the deli line getting sandwiches. Right next to the store is a boat launch area where you can rent boats to take onto the lake. The staff was friendly and helpful at the store. Go get you some fudge.
Ole Country Store that has a lot of the same offerings as others found throughout the region. Deli making sandwiches to order, ice cream, cakes and pies, jams, pasta, and other bakery products. Ordered a sandwich, really good and there is covered outdoor seating at the front. Didn’t try the ice cream but it looked really popular with numerous customers walking in for the ice cream when I was there. Overall a great place to grab lunch and a variety of sweets.
This is kinda' sorta' like an upscale Cracker Barrel with the emphasis on foodstuffs, plus many different kinds of candies & sweets, minus all the chotchkes. I think they have every kind of flour, grains, pastas, noodles, dried beans, etc, etc, etc; more than I ever knew existed. There's a huge refrigerated section, including meats, and you can order lunch take-out/to go. They even have an ice cream bar where I saw people in line for cones, sundaes, etc. I'm...
