Well, the salad bar was amazing, but that's about all I can say. To say the rest of the food was ok, puts it generously... Prime rib was fatty and tough, fries were majorly lacking in salt, and the Chop Steak and Onion was pretty much a warmed up hamburger, that was still a little pink in the center. The service was good, and I'm generally not one to complain about the food, but the final straw came when we got our receipt for $47.50. Went up to the counter to pay, and we're billed for $55.60. Must we pay tax on our food now yet?!? Or where did that extra $8.00 come from??? Left feeling rather disgruntled.

Update to below review:Someone from the restaurant responded to my review requesting I call. While I appreciate the effort, there is no reason to discuss my review. This was my experience, I do not want anything from anyone there. If they want to improve, I would suggest hiring more staff and changing recipes or cooks.Arrived a1:30pm. This was our first and last visit. We had the buffet. Fried chicken seemed to be rolled in flour only and over fried. Not much taste to it. Also tried the Salisbury steak. Was better than the chicken but you can tell very little effort or seasonings goes into the food here. The salad was ok. The service was terrible also. Had to go get menus ourselves before deciding on the buffet. Then no one ever came by to check on us. I had to get a waitress's attention to find out where the buffet was. When finished, we had to go up to the register and tell the guy what we had in order to pay. Just overall a terrible experience.

Peppers is a great spot for food in the Culpeper area. Located right off of Rte 29 which makes it convenient if you're travelling.

The French Dip was amazing! One of the best beef sandwiches I have ever had. The bartender was great on top of her game. The bar was busy with a ton of nice people! I will go there again when I am in the area.

A Cheers like feel Peppers sports a great group of regular guests and it's plain to see why. Good prices, friendly service, and generous portion sizes all contribute to what is sure to be a great dining experience. I only wish I lived closer so I could visit more often!

We used Peppers Grill Catering for our rehearsal dinner and it was the best decision ever! Even our tasting was so relaxed and enjoyable. The team is so friendly and outgoing and the food is DELICIOUS!! We were surprised by everything they had to offer! Highly recommend and can't wait to go back to the restaurant to try more things!! My family literally fought over who got the leftovers!!

Ordered carry out when I got home the salad was brown and slimmy under the green lettuce. We called went back to get another one they told my wife to go to salad bar make her own which was fine. The lady at the salad bar was taking the old stuff off and watched my wife as if she was stealing something made her very uncomfortable I do not recommend carry out and think a couple of the employees need customer service training

So... bartender sucked. She was not very attentive, not very friendly and has no memory. Had to ask for a box three times. Coworker had to wait ten minutes to get a water. She definitely has regulars or favorites that she focused on and dismisses others. The food was good tho. Entrees come with the salad and soup bar so that was a bonus. Portions on the entrees were also good. Sides seemed like they were from a can so don't expect much from those. Value wise it's a five, service wise it's a two.

Stopped by on a trip, and this was a pleasant surprise. This restaurant is attached to a hotel, and it was busy but not overwhelming. The food was really good, and prices were very reasonable. If you are on a road trip on Route 29 and near Culpeper, this place is worth a try.

We did the buffet. The price was good but the food was typical steam table food with vegetables cooked to mush. I did like the apple crisp dessert with the serve-yourself soft serve ice

My favorite place to eat. Food is good and prices are economical. Lunch buffet is the best for your money...all you can eat for $9.99. Fridays is my fave....that's when they have cat fish on the buffet. My brother and his family pass through town once a year on their trip north from Florida and always stop at Peppers Grill.

I showed up with 30 other guys on motorcycles. They weren't expecting us, but they put on a good face and cranked out everything we asked for!
