I have been here or had food from here before and this is for certain—it is great BBQ. I had the pulled pork sandwich, with huge chunks of pork, served without sauce but with a pick-your-own selection on the side, while my guests had the ribs, both great servings. I also had cornbread which was still hot from the oven. My only issue was with the cole slaw which, while fresh, could use a touch of vinegar, Duke’smayo, and salt for flavor. Otherwise the service was helpful and we walked away quite full!

Sandwiches and sides were fabulous. Pulled pork and brisket were moist. Slaw, green beans & crispy French fries were just what we needed after a hike

We did not have to detour far off of our route back home to Pennsylvania to find this small small counter service restaurant in the little strip mall. I had looked it up on Google maps because we were looking for a quick place to have lunch. The pulled chicken and beef biscuits were both excellent. Service counter staff were wonderful very polite and friendly. Our food came out quickly and it was hot and fresh. We will definitely keep this place in mind the next time we are traveling I'm looking for a place to have lunch.

I came to Virginia to visit my son and his family. They brought me here to eat and me being from Texas - WOW!! Better than any BBQ I’ve had in Texas and I was born and raised there. Nothing can compare to Shawn’s! I had the most Brisket and the dry rub Ribs with Coleslaw and it was absolutely amazing! I brought myself back the night before I flew back home because I HAD to have it again! PLEASE open one of these in Texas or for that matter - several!

This is definitely our favorite bbq spot, the coleslaw with coconut is out of this world. I prefer the brisket. The baked beans are also very good a little spice but not too much.

Had an amazing time with my daughter at the drive in movie for “The Greatest Showman”. Very family friendly atmosphere and snacks were great! Highly recommend and will come back again! Just what the community needs!

Certainly a place worth trying, the food is great and well prepared, the cost is fair and it is consistently neat in here. Kudos.

The food is very good, Love the cole slaw. The potatoes salad, and baked beans are good also. Staff is friendly and helpful.

The food was delicious. I had two meats and a side. I got the pulled pork and the moist brisket, which also came with a bun and cole slaw. I didn't eat either of those, but the mac and cheese that I got as a side was probably some of the best BBQ joint mac and cheese that I have had. The staff was friendly. The sauces I used were delicious. Even the bathrooms were much cleaner than I expected. This was an expected treat, from the food to the cleanliness. My only criticism, and this is super minor, is that the sweet tea was WAY too sweet, but I guess we are in the south!

Good friendly service at a fair price. BBQ is the best around town Lines can form quickly on the weekend but always move! Very community oriented ownership.

Absolutely the best bbq around! Meat is lean, the smoking is perfect, and the staff is fabulous!! The price may seem high, but 2 pounds of pulled pork feeds 4 adults for2 meals.

Stopped at this little strip mall to check my GPS and Lloyd up to see the sign for Shawn's. I decided to take a chance and I'm glad I did. I got the two meat sampler with pulled pork and brisket plus a side of their BBQ beans. It was almost like stopping at a roadside BBQ place in Texas. The two meats had a nice, smoky flavor and were very tender. The barbecue beans had a nice tangy sauce and made a good compliment to the meats. My next trip to this area I'm heading to Shawn's.

One of my favorite places to eat BBQ. I love the chicken and the bbq pork! Been coming here for a few years, anyways delish!!

The brisket was awesome and I loved all the different sauces the food was so good in a fun environment
