Charlie And Litza's South Main Cafe

July 11, 2024. I live 100 miles away, but decided to take an early morning drive to have breakfast with Charlie & Litza at the restaurant. There was no explanation posted on the door for being closed. I looked through the windows to discover the interior had been gutted with no counter, tables or chairs remaining. My heart is broken. Charlie use to say that he loved his work and never planned to retire. I hope Charlie & Litza are OK. They were a lovely couple.

Charlie and Litza are the most kind people. They are always laughing and joking with the customers. Definitely one of my favorite breakfast places ❤️

Such an adorable café! The chef and waitress are so polite. PLUS, The chef has been cooking 50+ years. The food is delicious and the sausage is amazing. It is such a cozy, family like place. Grab a cup of coffee, talk to "grandma and grandpa". Its like you've known them forever. I will be coming back!

We stopped while driving through to grab some breakfast. It's a funky little diner run by an elderly husband and wife team. The food is great they are very friendly The service is kind of slow which is what you'd expect fromsome 80 plus year old people. We enjoyed it.

My new favorite restaurant in Culpepper. They are both very sweet people. Make you feel right at home. Food is really good. Home-cooked just like Grandma's. We will definitely be back.

Tiny place with incredible food and the best couple of people you’ll meet.And hands down the best diner for miles and miles and miles (freshly made biscuits!). I went there for the first time today and will be a loyal regular. I hope they’re in business for a long time to come.

Been going here for many years! This is a neat country diner with only two folks. Charlie cooks the griddles and Litza serves the food and does the stove items like biscuits and gravy. If you go, bring your appetite, your kindness and your patience. These two are in their 80's and work very hard and do a great job! But if there are 6 people ahead of you, you may have to wait a bit. They are a true inspiration!
