Stopped in at this downtown BBQ spot and was blown away. The waitress was amazing—super attentive and kind—and the food was even better. Every bite was packed with flavor, and the staff made the whole experience feel like eating with friends. Hands down one of the friendliest and tastiest places in town.

The food and drinks we had were super delicious. I recommend trying them out.
I had the fried catfish with hushpuppies , steamed broccoli, seasoned fries and a Arnold Palmer (unsweet tea) . First time here and my coworkers were also delighted with the food and service . Decor is also nice with an outside screened in eating area .

I really like Uncle Elders, but I must ask them to please consider the quality of their ribeye. I paid market price tonight which was $45. I believe it was 16 ounces. That's just a high price for the type of restaurant in general but specifically for the quality of the cut of meat. It's just not worth that. It was cooked ok, not great, I asked for medium and there were several parts that were rare. I'm not so bothered by that as I am the cut of meat for that price.
Would still go here but this was particularly disappointing.

You must come here if you’re ever in CULPEPER VA. The food is absolutely amazing!! Moist and tender meats - brisket, pulled chicken, ribs etc.
also the fried potatoes W/onions takes me back to breakfast with my family.
The service was great and we met the owner, Elder, who has had this place for 12 years.
I love this place so much. Can’t say enough good things.

The quality of the food was outstanding! The brisket was perfectly tender and tasty. The best baked beans I've ever had. They weren't runny, had a nice kick to them and the texture of the beans was perfect. My niece loved her burger and mac and cheese. The sweet onion hush puppies and apple butter were delicious. I couldn't eat my fried okra fast enough. The 5 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals and our server was too nice! We will be back! Less than $100 for our meals and we were stuffed!

1 week ago first time the whole family come and ordered the family feast 5+, the food was excellent ribs wore very meaty and chicken was tender and brisket had perfect char season on top.....last night we decided to order same again to go, wish my husband checked before arriving home! The ribs wore not meaty at all, and the brisket was not same it wasn't season on top or chared the way it was 1 week ago....as of chicken we had to toss it completely it was chewy, only side wore eaten and little ribs....drove 20+ min and didn't wanna drive to return just decided we won't come back anymore. The service was great tho people wore nice. I only recommend eating inside but no take out. We will try others for BBQ as this was a major disappointment.
