The food is amazingly fresh, made to order, and priced well. The staff are so genuine and are very knowledgeable of the menu. They've provided us with service and care throughout our meal. We favor the Blackened chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries as well as the Salmon and grits. I still want to know what's in those grits? They are fire, you hear me. The catfish is always hot and big fat filets. They dont skimp on the food and besides you can just take it home....

We stopped by Down Home Comfort Cafe for dinner, on a friend's recommendation. I enjoyed the shrimp and grits were absolutely on point. The grits were creamy, rich, and simply delicious, and the shrimp were grilled to perfection.

We also enjoyed the green beans, cabbage, cornbread, the smothered pork chops, and Jambalaya. We shared everything!

⭐️ 3.5 / 5 – Black-Owned Comfort Spot Worth a Second Try

I love me some good southern and Creole comfort food, but most spots are usually in Maryland. So when I found this Black-owned gem right here in Woodbridge, I had to try it! You know I’m always going to give the real tea on a restaurant. Beautiful artwork on the walls with neosoul music playing. The server was extremely friendly ans helpful.
