Down Home is one of those little hidden gems you stumble across by chance. My family and I were lured in by the phenomenal smells drifting through the shopping center. The dining room was cozy, and we were greeted with a warm “welcome home”. As is our tradition in new restaurants, we each ordered a different dish to share. Absolutely NOTHING was less than phenomenal. The fried chicken was juicy inside, crisp and savory outside. The waffles were light and fluffy and buttery....

Omg the best food ever I travel from Fredericksburg Va to check it out.I must say the must tasting, fresh well seasoned soul food I ever had and I’m being honest ..I love me some good food and the portion of it was amazing I be checking spots out…Very amazing restaurant and the customer service was outstanding very attentive very nice people awesome atmosphere. I have tried most of their items on their menu after a few visits. Their kryptonite items are their wings, the cheesecake and their catfish. I love going to this place to eat. Atmosphere is very warm and welcoming.
